Story
Charlie is 11 months old and he was a rescue we fostered from 7 weeks old. He is smart and has had 6 weeks of basic training classes. He can walk well on a leash and loves to be outside. He lives to dig and bury his toys and like to take his toys out with him. He is not so good about bringing them back. He is learning to fetch. He will herd and is a great vocal alert guard dog. He needs to build his confidence and can be skittish of new people at first. He is food motivated. We are looking to rehome Charlie due to us downsizing and him requiring more space to be a working dog and herd. He has been around kids but not frequently and he has been very skittish. I would recommend homes with adults oy or older kids due to his playfulnes and herding.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Jasper. That’s probably not my real name because my story is unfortunately a lot like many other unwanted pets. I was left to fend for myself not knowing where my next meal would be. Luckily I was rescued and given my chance to shine. I have proven that I really really love people regardless of my early start with humans. I want to be loved so much that I will beg for just a head rub and lap snuggles. Yes I’m a big strong boy but I’m really a small lap dog disguised in a hound dog body. Do I give slobbery kisses, why yes, is there a problem with that? I love to run and play but if given a choice I’d rather be by my persons side. I would make a great adventure companion. Riding shotgun by your side wherever you go, that would be my doggie dream. Currently I share a foster home with lots of other all size dogs but I would really like to be your only ride or die dog. I’ve gone so long without one on one attention that I’m constantly competing for the attention. Am I perfect? Heck no but I’m a diamond in the rough, clay ready to be molded. I’m looking for my person who is ready to be my furever person. One who will love me and never give up on me. I’ve been waiting a long time to just be loved. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 6, 2025, 12:45 pm
