Story
Dixie is a sweet, almost 10-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/hound mix with wonderful manners and a calm, people-loving temperament. She's fully potty trained, knows all her basic commands (sit, stay, lay down, come, and more), and enjoys nothing more than being close to her family. Her favorite things include gentle attention, exploring outdoors, and soaking up the sunshine. She gets along well with other dogs and cats in the home, though she isn't especially playful with them and prefers human companionship. Dixie is active and happy to go for walks or runs, spend time in a fenced yard, or relax outside, but she'll always choose being indoors with her people when they're home. She maintains a healthy 55 lbs and eats standard dry food at her own pace. Dixie is up to date on all care, including her rabies vaccine, which is valid through 2027. She does experience some separation anxiety and can become stressed in boarding or vet environments, so she prefers to not be left alone for hours.

Meet Bailey, a 1.5-year-old sweetheart with a heart-melting smile ??! Bailey came to us as a stray, but her journey hasn’t been easy. We managed to connect with one of her previous owners, who told us she had been rehomed recently. Sadly, we weren’t able to reach her most recent family, so now Bailey is searching for her forever home.Bailey is truly all smiles (she really does smile!), even though she’s naturally a bit shy and submissive. When she met another dog here at the shelter, Bailey was very tolerant—letting her new friend sniff and jump around her—but she preferred gentle exploring over rough-and-tumble play.We’re still getting to know this beautiful girl, but we already suspect she’ll be an amazing cuddle buddy with a tender, loving nature.
