Story
Oliver is a sweet, shy guy. His elderly owner moved and couldn’t take him. His world has been turned upside down. He has warmed up to our volunteers. He has really come out of his shell! He gives lots of snuggles. He sits nicely for treats and even did a trick with paws up for treats! He lived with another dog and was very friendly and playful with a couple of dogs he met at the shelter. Oliver does best with slow introductions to new people He is a little nervous, especially with men. He would do best with a patient, loving family and another dog to play with. Oliver is neutered, vaccinated and ready for his furever home. Please come ask to meet him in the yard.

Story
Meet Rome – A Survivor Ready for His Forever Home Rome has spent his entire life waiting for someone to love him. For three long years, he was chained outside, neglected, and forgotten. He had never been inside a home, never known comfort, and never experienced kindness. When he was finally surrendered to a high-kill rural shelter, he sat alone in a dark, damp kennel, waiting for a fate he didn’t deserve. But Rome’s story didn’t end there. We rescued him just in time and discovered he was heartworm positive. Despite everything he has endured, Rome has the most incredible spirit. He is gentle, loving, and eager to please. Now fully vetted, neutered, and on the road to recovery, Rome is looking for a family who will give him the love and security he has never known. Rome’s Ideal Home: A patient and loving family committed to continuing his journey A home where he can finally experience the warmth of being indoors A fenced yard where he can run, play, and feel free A family willing to provide him with structure, training, and lots of love Rome is proof that no matter how heartbreaking the past, the future can still be bright. He is ready for his second chance—are you the one to give it to him? Apply to adopt Rome today and give him the home he has always deserved.

Story
**🐾 Seeking a Special Adopter or Foster for Kai 🐾** Everyone, meet **Kai** — a loyal, loving, and *very* smart boy who's looking for a patient and experienced home. 💛 We believe Kai is a **Malinois-Catahoula/Cattle Dog mix**, which means he’s incredibly intelligent, driven, and will thrive in the right environment. But he's not your typical "adopt and go" kind of pup — Kai needs time, patience, and understanding to warm up to new people and surroundings. He’s not one for busy adoption events (he gets nervous and barks/growls at strangers), so we’re hoping someone can see *past that tough exterior* and recognize the amazing companion he is. 🐶 **About Kai:** * Needs a few days to warm up to new people — trust is everything to him * Would do best in a home with fewer dogs (ideally one other older but playful dog) * *Not a fan of cats* but has tolerated mine without aggression * Curious about kids, but hasn’t had much exposure * Not crate trained, but housebroken and uses a dog door * Rough-and-tumble player, loves toys, chews, and gives gentle nips when excited * Very food motivated and learns fast — training would be a breeze for the right person! * LOVES the idea of being your ride-or-die truck dog 🛻❤️ We love him dearly, but we have too many dogs to give him the focus he truly needs. Kai would thrive with someone who *knows and appreciates working breeds* — someone who sees the loyalty and brilliance behind his shy, protective exterior. Please help us find Kai the home he deserves. If you know someone experienced with Malinois, Catahoula, or cattle dogs who might be the right match, **tag them or share this post**! 📍Foster or adopter needed — we’re happy to talk with anyone seriously interested in giving Kai his best chance. Let’s find this special boy the home he’s meant for. 💙🐾

Story
Meet Rosie Rosie is a striking, high-energy girl we believe is a Catahoula Leopard Dog. She’s built for action and loves to run, leap, and play. Athletic and powerful, she’s happiest with room to move and a job to do. Rosie is amazing with people—gentle, affectionate, and unbothered by just about anything. You can even put your hands in her mouth—she’ll just nudge them out with her tongue. She loves cuddles, squishes, and being close to her humans. She’s got a strong alpha personality and a high prey drive, so she’s not a match for small dogs or other small animals. However, she could do well with other large dogs who can handle her energy and play style. Ideally, she’d be in a single-dog home where she can be the center of attention—or with a confident big dog who speaks her language. Rosie listens well, bonds fast, and is tough, loyal, and full of heart. If you’ve got the space and energy for a powerhouse cuddlebug, Rosie’s ready to be your shadow.

🐾 Oh hey, I’m Carmelo 😎 I may be young, but I’ve already mastered the art of stealing hearts and snacks. I’ve got energy for days, ears that perk at the word “treat,” and a strut that says, “Yes, I am the moment.” I’m all about fun, snuggles, and being the cutest reason you're late. Warning: once you meet me, it’s game over. I will be your favorite. – Carmelo 💅🐶
