She is a dominate female, that can get along with other dogs of the right fit. Mocha needs an active lifestyle where someone will be willing to play fetch from sunrise to sunset. Mocha likes to go for walks, and with a little more work on leash will love to go for runs as well! With the proper training, Mocha could make a great hunting dog. Mocha is a smart gal who picks up on things fairly quick. Mocha knows how to sit, to drop the ball when told to "drop it", does well for baths, and great for car rides. Because of her "go-go-go" mentality, Mocha will need work on potty training. The shelter environment is a stressful one, especially for Mocha. Lucy is a wonderful, smart, calm dog. She is both well trained and housebroken. She is used to ranch/farm life and has been around cattle and horses. Might not be good around chickens though. She has been fully vetted thru her life. She has been OK in the cat room, but not sure about cats in the home. Lucy is a purebreed Catahoula with papers. She needs to be the only dog as she gets jealous of other dogs getting the attention. Some of our dogs are adopted very quickly. If you are truly interested in a dog fill out an application ASAP. If you take the time to email a question someone will already be ahead of you with a completed application. To be pre approved fill out an application at the link below. You are welcome to come in anytime we are open to meet the cats and dogs. If you are preapproved you can adopt on the same day. We are open Monday-Saturday 1-4. They must have an approved application before traveling to meet the dog. We do allow small dogs that are eligible to fly in the cabin of a plane. We DO NOT allow dogs to travel in the cargo area of the plane under any circumstances. Any dog that is adopted can of course go by personal vehicle. We do not allow dogs to be transported "pony express style" where they are passed from driver to driver. ##2794230##
