Story
I lost my family awhile back, so I am now ISO a life partner (or partners) ready for happy companionship with a handsome, mature Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. My rowdy, hard-partying days are past, and I am a healthy and lively gentleman of 7. While I do get along with other dogs, I like quiet afternoons lounging with my people and strolls any time of day. I thrive in a home free of young children, cats, or daily chaos. I am highly compatible with people I can play, learn, and grow with. I am independent enough to enjoy my own company in or out of my crate ( where I can have my own space to recharge) and see no reason to pester you for attention. I value serenity, a calm environment and occasional belly scratches. I am smart and eager to please, too, especially when treats are involved. Like all CAWS animals, I am fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. And, like anyone who has been around the block a time or two, my heart has some healing to do, so a perfect match for me would be a forever home with humans who can help me feel secure and loved, and where I can once again be return love as a devoted and happy best friend. Does this sound like you? Then I am your guy! My adoption fee is $200. CAWS dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis, because we strive to find a perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi everyone! I’m Dottiee. I bet you can’t guess how I got that name. I am a 35lb, 1-year-old female Catahoula Leopard. We are originally from the south and I am very much a southern Belle. We are known for many things including being highly intelligent, great family dogs, and full of love; and I am every one of those and more. I love to lay with my paws crossed and I sit up straight at attention whenever I’m not playing or napping; like a proper lady should. And when you let me, I LOVE to share kisses! I am highly educated, with a Bachelor’s degree in hand shaking, a Master’s in using the dog door, and a PhD in treats. I’m also currently working on a degree in how to pirouette. I’m great at sitting calmly and waiting for a command to get a treat. I am potty trained and love my kennel; I even go to it on my own when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I’m great with learning new commands and respecting boundaries. I love going on adventures and going somewhere in the car. I still have a bit of puppy energy, so walks and new experiences get me very excited. I do great with meeting new dogs, and I LOVE playing with my foster sister. I haven’t met a cat yet, but I’m sure they would be fun to play with too! I love all humans, kids or adults. My foster family has taught me so much and helped me learn how to love, I can’t wait to have a permanent family of my own to share it all with. I know I would be a great addition to any family. Would you be a great family for me? Let’s meet up and find out! Apply for puppy kisses here! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you're looking for the SPUNKIEST, funniest, most SOCIAL little pup with a HUGE heart, a DEEP SOUL, and a SWEET personality... who LOVES to go on adventures and be your sidekick, and will make you laugh, TITO is the one for you! Tito is a SUPER sweet, SUPER smart, very outgoing, and EXTREMELY well-behaved, 14 month old Catahoula/ Heeler mix pup. He is VERY OBEDIENT, and is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, very good off leash (great recall), and is also trained to jog alongside a bike (on or off leash). He is also a bit SHY to NEW humans, and likes to make you work for his love, but once he learns you're his human, he will open up his heart and want to become your best friend and adventure partner  ‍. PERSONALITY & ENERGY LEVEL: Tito has a lot of energy and is super SPUNKY, and absolutely LOVES to play with dogs, so he would do BEST in a home where he can get the regular exercise and socialization he needs. An OUTDOORSY family or individual with another playful pup would be ideal, especially with a fenced backyard! He absolutely loves adventures and is looking for a real adventure partner - with another playful pup - to take him everywhere and show him a good time! But when things calm down, he can chill for long periods of time, and opens a side that few get to see... the softest little TENDER soul, who just wants to turn off the outside world, and snuggle with you and give LOTS of kisses. AT HOME: When his exercise/socialization needs are met, he loves to just CHILL out and hang around the house, and can do just fine at home alone with toys or bones for hours, or if he lives with another playful dog, he will do fine all day without his human. TEMPERAMENT: He is tempered amazingly well, and does NOT have a mean bone in his body, and has shown NO aggression to dogs, pets, or humans. STRANGERS: Away from home, Tito is a little hesitant with strangers, but warms up quickly with intros or treats. At home, he likes to protect/alert to strangers, but usually only when his human is home, but not aggressively. He will usually bark, but with a proper intro and treats, he warms up well to most individuals. KIDS: Tito has been exposed to MANY kids of ALL ages, and will play with kids he knows, but does best with mellow or dog-wise kids. But he is more cautious of hyperactive kids. TITO - LOVES - DOGS!! Tito gets along with ALL dogs and his foster says he has never seen a dog SO talented at getting other dogs to play with him, and is ALWAYS the one to initiate play. He will use every trick he can to get them to play, and will often even SIT on his dog-friends while they're taking a break... to get them to play again, LOL! CATS: His foster has housed a very mellow neighbor cat for many days at a time, and says he learned to get along ok, but definitely struggles to relax while a cat is in the house. And he will chase cats that run. So he would do best without cats. TRAINING: Tito is also VERY smart and learns VERY QUICKLY and knows MANY commands. Like most Catahoulas, he does best with a KIND, but firm leader, but does NOT do well with negative reinforcement!! He is also fairly treat motivated, so treats help! RECALL: Tito comes when called the first or second try about 90% of the time without distractions, or 3/4 of the time around stronger distractions. HOUSE/CRATE TRAINING: Tito is fully house trained & crate trained, and loves his crate, and feels safe in it. WALKS/LEASH: He is great on walks, likes a fairly brisk pace, and loves to use his nose. He does pull, but not hard, and will slow down with guidance. Tito really is the cutest, funniest little boy, and will melt your heart with his love and his SOULFUL personality and will make you laugh on a daily basis. Whoever ends up with Tito, is going to be the luckiest dog parent. He really is such a tender, sweet boy, and is SO VERY friendly, and his bright, spunky, and SOULFUL personality seems to always make people laugh and brighten the mood wherever he goes! All he wants, is a SOULMATE with another fun pup, to be their sidekick and let them fall deeply in love with his beautiful and DEEP SOUL! If you think Tito could be the boy for you, apply to meet him today at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 14, 2025, 2:49 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Rocky! I’m named after Rocky Balboa because, well, I’m just that handsome! My foster mom says I’m the most energetic boy she’s ever met! I’m a four-month-old male Catahoula mix from sunny St. George, and I came here with my two brothers. The rescue thinks my dad is a Catahoula, and my mom is a mix of Catahoula and Aussie. They were both big so I may grow to be 70lbs or so. Right now I weigh about 25lbs.  I carry the double Merle gene, so I have some eye issues, but don’t worry—I see pretty well and nothing’s going to stop me from doing anything! Like any large dog, I’ll need support with bone and joint health as I grow older. I get along well with other dogs, but I still need to learn some manners and how to play politely. I’d do best with an active family that can give me a job to do, and I promise I’ll give it my all! I’d love to have a big brother or sister, both human and canine. I LOVE to play! I’m a great eater and will do anything for a treat. I’m still learning where to potty and go out the doggie door with the other dogs. You’ll just need to show me the ropes in my new home. I love being outside and hope we can play together in nice weather. I’m eager to please—just show me what to do, and I’ll be your best friend! I have had my first 2 sets of shots including rabies, I have a microchip and have been neutered. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 19, 2025, 11:34 pm

Story
Reva is the sweetest dog in search of her best friend. Her previous life was a bit rough so she is looking for a soft landing. Her ideal home would be with someone who is home most of the time. She would be happy to have dog siblings but is also good on her own. She can get a bit jealous of others receiving attention, so she will need to learn about sharing. Reva has been good with other dogs, kids and okay with cats. She loves everyone she meets, but can be a bit timid around men until she gets to know them. She is still young so she does need some training and consistency to continue to be the best pup. Reva is athletic and can easily jump on to the top a 6ft fence so a good solid, tall fence is a must for this future Olympian. She gets anxious when left alone so she would do best in a home with someone home most of the time or have a very secure kennel. Reva is fully house trained as far as using the bathroom. She is still learning not to chew things up when she is nervous. Her puppy brain tries hard to please her person, but anxiety does get the best of her from time to time. Reva is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and is mirco-chipped. If you are ready to add a fun athletic dog to your home, contact us today.

Story
Meet Liberty! She is currently 3 1/2 months old, and we think she may be a Catahoula Leopard Dog / Husky mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Liberty's video here: coming soon! Liberty is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play and take lots of naps! Eat, sleep, play, repeat. Liberty is living her best puppy life right now - all she needs is YOU! Liberty is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Liberty's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport.
