Story
Welcome Sasparilla to the Mission! This cute and sweet gal is likely a catahoula leopard dog mix of some kind and she hails from Post Falls Animal Shelter where she was originally brought after she was found wandering. She has an estimated birthday of 09/28/2022.  Sasparilla has two wolves inside of her. One is a brave and athletic sporting hound, the other is a socially awkward toddler brained 50lb dog who peepees in her pants when another dog sniffs her too much. She needs someone who can be patient and kind but also offer clear structure to help her find balance in her life and to be herself without acting too insecure or too lacking in self control once it all shakes out.  She is good in her crate and loves eating her meals from her food puzzle. She walks fine on leash but is still learning to not pull. She appears to be potty trained and she rides fine in the car. She is dog/cat/kid safe but will need encouragement and guidance on how to interact since she seems to have very little experience.  Sasparilla comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.  Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, medical records, and a complimentary consultation with a behaviorist to help both parties ace the new partnership. Story
I am (unfortunately) desperately seeking a new living home for her. She's a very sweet dog. I took her in a little bit over a year ago. Unfortunately I don't have enough time to spend with her and she has some pretty high separation anxiety. She jumps up when she's excited (not aggressive, she just loves people). She needs someone spending more time with her than I am currently able to provide, due to work and other life situations. She IS House trained, though she does have accidents if shes feeling icky. She also is territorial over her food. I hate having to give her up. But with someone with experience With dogs, and who is able to provide a loving home, I would feel better about it. Please be serious
