F - 2 years old - German Shepherd Mix - Marlow is on the smaller side for a German Shepherd, but her sweetness fills the whole room. She’s a soft soul who lacks a bit of confidence. She’ll roll onto her back in submission, and also because she very much believes belly rubs should be happening at all times. She bonds quickly to her people and loves being close. So close, that she tends to give big hugs. She’ll lean in, press her body against you, and look up with those gentle eyes like you’re her whole world. With other dogs, Marlow has shown that she can warm up and even come out of her shell fairly quickly. She has a bouncy, push-and-pull play style that can include some nippy excitement, and while she means well, she can sometimes be a bit much for more sensitive or laid-back dogs. She’ll need thoughtful introductions and a well-matched companion if she shares her home with another pup. What Marlow truly wants is reassurance. She’s still figuring out the world and her place in it. When she feels unsure, she may overreact or completely shut down. But underneath that is a very sweet, very loving girl who just wants to feel safe and loved. ADOPT To adopt, come see us! We're open for walk-ins Tuesday - Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM with adoptions closing at 4:30 PM each day. All adoptions are $25 and our pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to head home with you. She’s hyper and goofy, always ready to turn any moment into a game. Toss a ball and she’s off like a rocket, and when she grabs it and comes bounding back, she stretches out mid-air like Superman in flight, ears back and legs flying, making the whole thing look like her own personal action movie. She thrives on activity and loves having something to do, whether it’s chasing toys, running around the yard, or showing off her impressive zoomies. With her shepherd brain, she’ll do best in a home that can keep her both physically and mentally engaged.
