Story
Dale is a Turkish Boz Shepherd (very similar to Akbash and Central Asian Shepherd). He is very playful and a bit of a gentle giant. He does have protective instincts as a livestock guardian dog, but most of the time he just wants to be outside watching. He is not an active guardian dog. He gets along with other dogs and is very gentle with small kids. He just forgets his size sometimes. He is often very happy just being by himself, but will come up to you if he needs something, like going outside or just some pets. He loves to play fetch and run. He needs outdoor space, the larger the better.

These pups are in Katy, Texas too!

Story
Est DOB: 1/8/22, GSD mix, male, currently 75 lbs +, neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations, heart-worm negative and microchipped Meet Haribo!  (Hari for short) This incredibly handsome boy was born into the rescue on Jan. 8, 2022.   He is a happy, goofy boy with a lot of personality.  Haribo and his sister Honor were both born with a congenital issue called Megaesophogus.  Basically his esophagus is too large to move food adequately from his mouth to his stomach so he just eats differently that others.     When it’s feeding time, Hari sits in a special chair called a Bailey chair.  Haribo is a clever boy who knows how to get into his chair for feeding times all on his own.   He does very well eating and sitting in the chair for 20 minutes afterwards.   He eats twice a day and has been eating Royal Canin.   Like his sister Honor,  his Megaesophogus is easily managed with an inexpensive drug called Sildenafil.  He gets 50 mg a day. (25 mg in the a.m. and p.m.)   Haribo is great on a leash, loves to play with his sister and likes to play fetch.  He loves getting attention and will nuzzle your hands to get a nice petting.  He likes walks around the lakes in his foster family’s neighborhood and is interested in the ducks and squirrels but doesn’t try to chase.  He is in a foster home with other dogs and school aged children that he does well with. Story
Est DOB: 1/8/22, GSD mix, female, currently 75 lbs +, spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccinations, heart-worm negative and she is microchipped.   Meet Honor! Honor is a gorgeous girl who was born into the rescue on Jan. 8, 2022.  She has always been a happy, playful pup.  A few months after being born Honor was diagnosed with Megaesophogus, a condition that affects the way food moves from her mouth to her stomach.   Honor is just like any other dog except that she requires a special chair to sit in to eat.  She has her own Bailey chair that she is trained to get in and out of it on her own that would go with her to her new family.  She is a very smart girl and she does very well in her chair when she eats and stays for 20 minutes afterwards.    Honor eats twice a day and has been eating Royal Canin.   Honor’s Megaesophogus is easily managed with an inexpensive drug called Sildenafil.  She gets 50 mg. a day. (25 mg in the a.m. and p.m.)     Honor loves to play with her brother Haribo, who was also born with Megaesophogus.   She enjoys walks and taking little dips in her foster family’s pool.  Honor is affectionate, sweet and silly and likes to chase leaves and toss pine cones into the air.  She is smart and very attentive and would be an amazing addition to any family.   Honor is spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccinations, heart-worm negative and she is microchipped.   Please consider making this adorable girl a member of your family. Story
She is 2 years old and 8 months. Birthday is 3/03/2023. She is very shy and introverted. She is quiet, she doesn’t bark inside house, or rarely when she is outside. She is house trained and crate trained. She will prefer the crate when in a new environment, you can leave the door open and she will not budge because of comfort and that is where she feels safe. She is easy to bath and groom. She loves all sizes balls. She hesitant on walking pass stationary objects( mailboxes, cars, & garbage cans), however 5 mins into the walk she will be okay. She is good with kids and other dogs. She has only been around 1 cat since she was born for about 2 years and she was great with her. She is a great, smart, loving dog. I recently started driving trucks and she is not going to adjust. It’s been 2 months and she is not okay being on the road or in a bumpy truck.
