Reposting: This is Leo! His birthday is 11/21/2024. He is a very playful, affectionate loving pup. He loves to be outside and enjoys walks! Hes small but mighty. Everyone in my subdivision knows him and stops by to visit as he has a stake in the front yard. Very social. He is potty trained but if he’s not on schedule he will potty in the crate if cannot hold it or its been a long time. Hes very intelligent and understands what you are saying. He really enjoys playing with other dogs and gets excited when he sees one. He barks as all dogs do if someone knocks on the door or enters the yard. Cats excite him. Likes to be acknowledged. Loves to be picked up and enjoys car rides. He really loves children and people in general. Very much a licker. As soon as you walk up to him he checks you out, licks to show love. He will do well with a family with another dog, children or someone that needs companionship/focus for him. All in all a great dog that loves outdoors! Regular haircuts for main

Story
We found Hugo on the side of the road near our home about two months ago. He was bitten up, emaciated, and full of worms. Unfortunately, the only shelter near our home is a kill-shelter - that wasn't an option. Over the last few months, he's recovered fully and is ready for his permanent home. Over the past two months, we've taken him for regular visits to our vet. He has been neutered, chipped, and is up to date on his vaccines. We also paid to have our vet repair his little belly button hernia. Hugo's estimated age is six to seven months old right now. We currently have four dogs that we've rescued, and our home is too small for another large breed dog. We've been unsuccessful locally finding him a new home. We're trying to find Hugo his new permanent home. We're willing to travel a significant distance to deliver him to a new good home.
