Meet the Fire puppies — a litter that truly started from a tiny spark and has grown into a full-blown blaze of personality.    These pups were rescued from the shelter with their mama, Fire, when they were just a day or two old. Mama is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix, and while dad remains a mystery. But let's get serious. Does anyone doubt he was a Pug? Um, no.... because these babies came out with undeniable smooshy faces and maximum charm. Raised entirely in foster care with a family and kids, they are exceptionally social, confident, and people-loving.   When they’re awake, these puppies are absolutely on fire! Their days are filled with running laps around the room, chasing and wrestling each other, engaging in intense tug-of-war battles with ropes and toys, nibbling toes to get human attention, enthusiastically eating, and then crashing hard into nap time— usually piled on top of one another like a cozy little campfire (though if there are human laps available, that's always ideal!). They’re also impressively clever and constantly learning from each other, whether that’s potty training progress, discovering new escape routes from their play area, or figuring out how best to charm the humans.   Potty training: Inside their x-pen, they have a designated potty area and use it well. When they’re out roaming and playing, they mostly return to two pee-pad-lined areas near the pen, with the occasional puppy accident elsewhere. Overall, they’re doing very well for their age and improving every day. Meet the Flames: EMBER – The Booper Ember is instantly memorable for her signature move: the nose boop. The easiest way to identify her is to lean in close, ask, “Are you Ember?” and wait for the quick lick to your nose. She’s athletic and bold, inheriting Mama’s impressive jumping skills. Ember is the parkour pro of the group, regularly leaping over makeshift barriers and inspiring her siblings to attempt the same (with mixed success). She’s also the first and only puppy so far to squeeze under a couch— and get herself stuck there— proving that confidence sometimes comes before planning. Laughter guaranteed!   GLOW – The Squeeze Expert Glow loves laps and human contact but also has a fascination with tight spaces. Early on, she was a bit more cautious than her siblings, but now she’s just as adventurous— especially when there’s a narrow gap to explore. Whether it’s under furniture, between barriers, or in places you didn’t realize a puppy could fit, Glow will find it. If you’re ever counting puppies and come up short, look for Glow tucked into a cozy corner. Note: laps are quite cozy too!   FLAME – King of Belly Rubs Flame is athletic, strong, and fast. Despite his tough exterior, he is a complete softie. He’s the first puppy to discover the joy of flopping onto his back for belly rubs— and once he’s there, he’s not moving. As long as the belly rubs continue, Flame is perfectly content.   SPARK – Instant Calm The smallest of the litter, Spark is gentle, soulful, and deeply connected to people. She is the ultimate cuddle puppy. She’ll approach, make eye contact, and silently ask to be picked up. Once in your arms, she becomes perfectly still and calm, even if she was mid-play seconds earlier. She has a soothing presence that the kids have noticed too—and she doesn’t nip at hands at all.   TINDER – The Adventurer Tinder is curious and brave, always eager to explore new territory. When Mama led the way into new spaces, Tinder was right behind her. Despite his adventurous streak, he also loves quiet moments and will happily fall asleep on your lap. He enjoys being held like a baby in a cradle position, gazing up at you with full attention.   BLAZE – The Jock The biggest of the litter, Blaze is all about action. He’s strong, energetic, and almost always wrestling with someone or shaking a toy (or sock, or shoe). He thrives on activity but balances it with affection, often seeking out snuggles. He’s not a fan of being cradled like a baby, but hold him front-facing so he can see everything happening, and he’s happy— until something exciting catches his eye and he’s ready to jump back into the action. He's one who will love the Puppy Baby Bjorn so he can go along and check out everything that's happening!   Daily Life:   These puppies follow a predictable and healthy rhythm, cycling through play, potty, meals, more play, and naps throughout the day. They’re usually up and active between 5:30–6:30am and start winding down for the night around 8:30–9:30pm. They receive three meals a day (canned puppy food sprinkled with kibble), with kibble available to munch on during awake times.   If you’re looking to snuggle up around the fire, add warmth and laughter to your home, and raise a smart, social, affectionate puppy, one of these pups may be the perfect match. These puppies are truly on fire—don’t get burned by waiting too long to apply.January 6, 2026, 11:30 pm

Fire is a 2-3 year old, 18 lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix who came to us from the shelter with her puppies when they were just days old. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that Fire takes her most important job very seriously: being an exceptional mom. She’s gentle, attentive, and endlessly nurturing, with just the right balance of affection and independence. Wrapped in a petite body is a soulful dog who looks at you with eyes that seem to say, “Yes, this is a good life.” Fire is affectionate without being demanding. She loves pets, belly rubs, and couch cuddles—but she’s also wonderfully respectful of personal space (yours and her own). She’ll happily hop up beside you when invited, soak in the love, give a contented sigh… and then politely excuse herself to snooze nearby. It’s a trait her foster family lovingly describes as “excellent emotional boundaries.” She’s calm, sweet, and well-mannered in the home—no chewing, no digging, no mischief. Fire free-roams like a pro and treats the house as if she owns it (but in the very best, most respectful way). A Day in Fire’s Life Fire starts her mornings around 6–7am, usually alongside her puppies. She heads out for a potty break (or uses a potty pad indoors if needed), then enjoys meals three times a day, often alongside her little ones. She loves having access to a yard—whether for potty breaks or simply to decompress and enjoy some fresh air. Most days are spent indoors, staying close to her people, checking in for pets, and periodically inspecting on her puppies like the diligent supervisor she is. Evenings wind down early; Fire typically starts her nighttime snoozing routine between 8–9pm. At night, she chooses her own sleeping spot—sometimes the couch, sometimes her bed near the kitchen, sometimes right outside the puppy x-pen so she can keep an ear on things. Personality & Affection Fire is curious, gentle, and quietly confident. When she first arrived, she took a day or two to settle in—especially with adult men—but once she decides you’re part of her circle (cheese helps), you’re in for life. She loves cuddles, enjoys being held, and happily melts into pets and belly rubs. She’s not a Velcro dog, but she does keep tabs on her people—waiting outside the bathroom door, hanging near the garage door, or positioning herself just close enough to feel connected. She adores children of all ages and has been wonderful with them—never barking at kids, happily napping under a desk during homework time, or lounging nearby during family movie nights. Mom of the Year (Every Year) Fire is a phenomenal mother. She snuggles, plays, teaches, corrects, and referees puppy wrestling matches with calm authority. If play gets too intense, she steps in. If a puppy cries, she’s right there. Despite her devotion, she also values her own space and will take short breaks when needed—something we deeply admire about her balance. As her puppies have grown, Fire has started showing more of her playful side—joining in zoomies in the yard and even learning how fun ropes and sticks can be (apparently motherhood unlocks new hobbies). Other Dogs, Kids & the World Fire currently lives with another dog. She is someone who doesn't immediately jump to be another dog's BFF. Rather she gives space and time for the relationship to develop. She's like a fine wine... She loves kids. About Her “Voice”  Fire does like to express herself, especially when she’s feeling protective or when something unfamiliar appears. Think of it less as barking and more as spirited commentary. She’s also been known to “sing along” to violin practice (opinions vary on whether this is harmony or protest). With reassurance and sometimes cheese, she settles nicely. Ideal Home Fire would thrive in a home that appreciates a dog who is: Affectionate but independent Calm and respectful indoors Happy with companionship but not needy A yard would be lovely but isn’t required, as she does well with potty pads. She’s excited by leashes, loves car rides, and seems eager for future adventures once she’s fully transitioned out of mom mode. Why We Love Fire Fire has a quiet magic about her. She connects deeply without overwhelming, loves fully without clinging, and carries herself with gentle dignity. Watching her sigh contentedly after cuddles, make eye contact that feels like a full conversation, or carefully hide a treat behind a couch cushion reminds us how special she is. She’s been a hardworking, devoted mom—and on her own, she’s a sweet, soulful companion ready for her next chapter. Fire is ready to be someone’s girl now. January 5, 2026, 9:35 pm
