Cooper is super sweet and absolutely loves giving kisses he will get as close to you as possible and tell you secrets in your ear (giving kisses) lol. He is a playful, happy, healthy puppy who has a big heart and lots of love to give! Cooper was medically cleared vaccinated and dewormed. 1/8/26- This sweet boy lives in a nice older woman's home and yard with several other dogs. The woman was down sizing on the amount of dogs as her health was an issue . This is is sweet and a bit nervous in thr city. He is sweet and warms up in time. He is learning the real world. He is very sweet with children and other animals. He is a lean into you kind of pup. Lady’s Story My name is Lady, and I am a five-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I came from very humble beginnings. I was born in a cage and spent the first part of my life in a small steel enclosure with my mother and my eight siblings. It was dark, dirty, and heartbreaking. The floor was covered in old food, spilled water, urine, and feces. I hated walking on it because it squished between my paws. My brothers and sisters used to tease me and act like I was being fussy, but my mama would gently comfort me and say, “You are special. You are a lady, and ladies do not walk through filth.” As time passed, my siblings were taken away one by one. Each time a human came and removed one of them, my mother seemed sad, though she always tried to stay hopeful. She would tell me she was sure they were going to warm, loving homes where they would be treated like family. Then one day, the humans came for me. They pulled me from the cage, took me away from my mother, and away from the only home I had ever known. I had never been outside before, and when I was suddenly brought into the sunlight, it was so bright that I could barely open my eyes. By the time my vision adjusted, the humans were gone, and I found myself surrounded by barking dogs in a cold, unfamiliar place. The floor there was hard and sterile, but at least it was clean. Still, I could not shake the feeling that I had arrived on death row for dogs. The humans seemed as cold as the metal bars around me, and the dogs all looked frightened and desperate. I was sure I would never make it out. Then one day, I woke to the sound of a soft, gentle voice. I looked up and saw a woman standing over me. She said, “What a cute little girl. She’s adorable. We will find her a home.” I looked around, wondering who she could possibly be talking about. Then she reached down, lifted me into her arms, and carried me out of the cage. That car ride was long, but for the first time, I felt something I had never truly felt before: hope. When I arrived at the rescue, I was treated with kindness, patience, and love. Little by little, I began to believe that maybe I really was special. Maybe I mattered. I am still working on getting stronger and learning how to use my legs better, but every day I feel a little safer, a little braver, and a little more loved. Now, I dream of the day someone will adopt me and treat me like family for the rest of my life. Even with all the hope in my heart, I still think about my mother. I think about her trapped in that tiny cage, forced to have litter after litter, only to have her babies taken away year after year. I wonder who will save her. That thought still makes me sad. But I know my mama would be happy for me. She would be glad that somehow, I found my way out of that darkness and into the arms of angels. From the Rescue: LADY has some mobility issues and her back legs are weak and muscles atrophied. She is getting stronger and with proper nutrition and exercise she could make a complete turn around, but there is a chance that she will always have some weakness in her back legs. Lady should continue with her physical therapy, nutrition and supplement routine to strengthen her legs. Lady is an absolute doll you will fall in love with her. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records. Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return! Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs.
