Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Max. Max came to the rescue with his buddy Pippa, when their owner's life changed and she could no longer care of them. We first thought that Max and Pippa were bonded, but the longer he has been in his foster home, it was determined that wasn't the case, but he would prefer to have another doggie sibling in his new forever home or if there is someone out there looking for 2 great dogs, he would love to have Pippa come home with him as well. He is a very chill dog. He is not a big barker, even when the rest of the doggies in his foster home are singing the song of their people, he prefers to just sit and watch them. He is housetrained and will use the doggie door to go in and out into the fenced in backyard. He is not crate trained, but has not torn up anything while not being in a crate at his foster home. He loves to go on walks and is great on a leash. He is good with dogs of all sizes, kids and even livestock. He has not been cat tested though. This boy prefers to sleep on a fuzzy blanket or doggie bed next to his foster mom's bed at night, but will at some point ask to come up to sleep next to her. He is just very sweet and calm and loving. He would make just about anyone a great companion. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Boomer – Your Adorable Cavapoo with a Big Personality! Boomer is an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel–Poodle mix (Cavapoo) who’s equal parts loyal companion and playful buddy. He loves being with his person—whether that’s going for walks, riding along in the car to new places, or snuggling on a lap while keeping an eye out the window. And when the mood strikes, he’ll zoom around the backyard and make you laugh with his goofy bursts of energy. Personality & Temperament Boomer is affectionate and easygoing much of the time, but he takes his role as protector seriously and can be wary of strangers. He’s also a strong-willed, stubborn boy—so he’ll do best with someone experienced who can set clear boundaries and help build his confidence. Home Needs Fenced yard required Best as an only dog (he plays too rough and has a dominant personality) No children (he’s not fully comfortable with kids) Good with cats &#226&#154&#161 Energy & Training Boomer has an above average energy level. He enjoys walks, backyard play, and mental stimulation to keep him busy. He does well on housetraining if kept on a routine (he doesn’t signal to go out) and eats twice daily. Best Home Boomer would thrive in a somewhat active home with someone who’s home often, patient, and experienced with dogs who need guidance. He’s a work in progress, but with consistency, structure, and love, he’ll reward you with deep loyalty, laughs, and endless companionship. If you’re looking for a smart, adorable Cavapoo with a big heart and a little spunk, Boomer may just be your perfect match. Boomer’s adoption donation is $550 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative on heartworm and started on prevention, as well as flea/tick prevention. He has also had a dental cleaning.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  November 7, 2025, 10:47 am
