Meet Duke Kaboom — a carefree little guy with a heart as soft as his fluffy coat. At 4 years old, this laid-back poodle mix has mastered the art of balancing fun and relaxation. Whether he’s stretched out in a sunny spot soaking up the rays, casually following you around the house, or “kabooming” his whole body with excitement at the sound of food, Duke brings an easygoing kind of joy wherever he goes.
Duke is the kind of dog who fits beautifully into everyday life. He’s social and friendly with everyone he meets — dogs, cats, kids, and strangers alike — but he’s also wonderfully independent. He enjoys being near his people without demanding constant attention, making him the perfect companion for someone who wants a loyal buddy without a velcro dog attached to their hip. His foster especially adores his gentle, noninvasive snuggles and the way his ears flap in the breeze when he’s out and about.
This handsome boy already has all the basics down. Duke is housebroken, crate trained, non-destructive, and easy to walk on leash. He’s calm around other dogs on walks, answers to his name, and settles into home life with ease. He currently lives successfully with young children, another dog, and busy household activity, taking it all in stride with his happy-go-lucky attitude.
Duke does have IVDD, a common spinal condition that requires some simple lifestyle management to keep him feeling his best. Right now, he’s doing great by avoiding jumping on and off furniture, and his foster family has helped him adapt wonderfully. His condition doesn’t stop him from enjoying life — he still loves lounging, exploring, snacking, and being your cheerful sidekick.

The adoption fee for Duke Kaboom is $400. This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations.
