Story
Oreo is a sweet, playful little guy with a big personality packed into a small body. This Poodle and King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix is a big cuddle bug who loves sitting on laps once playtime is over. While he is getting used to more activity in his foster home, Oreo prefers a calmer environment as he can be a little sensitive to fast movements. Because he came from a puppy mill with no prior socialization, Oreo is still learning "how to dog." He would do best in a home with at least one other confident, playful canine friend. Having a companion to provide guidance and play will help him continue to build his confidence and navigate the world. When he’s feeling spirited, his outdoor zoomies look more like a tiny baby goat bouncing around the yard, which is guaranteed to make you laugh. Training & Progress • House Training: Oreo is making great progress and is mostly potty trained in his foster home. • Crate Training: He is not yet crate trained and find the crate a bit nervous-inducing. However, with continued patience and work, he will be just fine. • Confidence Building: He is a resilient boy who simply needs a patient family to help him blossom. A Few of Oreo’s Favorite Things • 🐾 Playing with dog friends: A must-have for his social development. • 🐾 Shredding paper: He’s like a tiny, enthusiastic office assistant. • 🐾 Mealtime company: He feels most comfortable having someone nearby while he eats. • 🐾 Turning towels into toys: He finds fun in the simplest things. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate little companion with equal parts zoomies and snuggles, Oreo might be your guy. 🐶 Oreo's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are.
