Due to an unexpected change in my housing situation, I unfortunately need to find a new home for my dog Brownie. This isn’t an easy decision, so I really want to make sure she goes to the right person. Brownie is 4 years old, healthy, fully vaccinated and potty trained. She’s sweet and friendly, but can be shy at first and needs a little time to get comfortable with new people and pets. Once she warms up, she’s very loving. She would do best in a home without children and preferably with another pet, as long as they’re introduced slowly and she has time to adjust. I’m looking for a safe, stable and loving permanent home for her. Meet Oliver! His owner called animal control wanting their aggressive dog picked up, and they arrived to find this guy cowering in the corner and a minor nip on the owner’s leg… they weren’t able to get much details except that they didn’t want the f-ing dog anymore and just take him 🤷‍♀️ He’s actually been a pretty nice happy guy, always smiling and dancing for attention, was perfect for us grooming him, likes other dogs, and we have been pleasantly surprised by how easy he is. He definitely seems to be foot-shy as if expecting to be kicked, and can growl guarding food and high value bones but nothing scary, somewhat needy and doesn’t like being ignored. Oliver is about 3 years old, 12 lbs and looks like some kind of googly eyed cavapoo or maybe havanese mix, appears to be non-shedding so will need regular grooming and has been neutered and updated on shots. He seems to really enjoy having doggie companions to hang out and play with and we think a home with another dog, or pack of dogs, might help boost his confidence. > If I had to pick one word to describe Booker, it would be resilient. At just 8 years old and 11 pounds, he’s a Yorkie/Poodle mix who was found on the side of the road in a quiet ruraL of Middle Tennessee. He was rescued on one of the hottest days of summer, and when he was found his fur was so horribly matted, that he had to be shaved down to the skin by the vet tech who is NOT a groomer. She did the best she could do. Now he is starting fresh and slowly he is growing out and his fur is now a beautiful white. From the moment he arrived, Booker won over the whole foster family. He loves to be close to his people and is incredibly affectionate. He gets excited about everything! His love for life and his courage is just incredible to watch. This boy loves everyone and every creature he meets. He is also very good with dogs of all sizes and is great with kids, too. > Walking on a leash is still a work in progress, but he has come a long way. With some more time and practice, he will be a great dog to take on walks. He also enjoys playing in the backyard, chasing butterflies just like Dolly Parton. Booker is crate-trained or will happily sleep beside you in the bed all night. He can spend all day resting next to you without any complaints or making any sound. He is truly one of the easiest fur babies ever! If you are interested in this sweet Yorkie/Poodle mix boy who was treated poorly and thrown outside for some horrible reason, just know that he has risen from the ashes like a Phoenix full of hope and courage. It’s heartbreaking to think that anyone could have neglected such a precious soul. Serenity is a petite 4-year-old, weighing just 11 lbs. She was found wandering as a stray north of Nashville, but even after her profile was shared on every lost-and-found pet site, no one stepped forward for her. One possible reason is an old injury to her right front leg—a break above the joint between her foot and leg that never healed quite right. While her foot now lacks proper support for walking, the injury isn’t painful and doesn’t seem to slow her down. Serenity often shifts her weight to her other legs and has become an expert at the charming Maltese trick of dancing on her hind legs. Serenity is guaranteed to make you smile—she’s a true trooper with a resilient spirit. She gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and is also friendly with cats.
