Meet Melina: Our Tiny Tripawd with a Heart Full of Courage
If you've been following Melina's journey, you already know this little girl has captured hearts everywhere.
At just 3 months old, Melina has already overcome more challenges than most dogs face in a lifetime. She came to Pitt Friends as a tiny puppy with a severely broken leg. Despite surgery, complications from an infection meant her journey took an unexpected turn, and this brave girl ultimately became a tripawd.
Through every vet visit, every recovery milestone, and every setback, Melina has shown us exactly who she is: resilient, loving, and full of joy.
Named after the Greek word for "honey," Melina truly lives up to her name. With her beautiful honey-colored coat and her sweet, affectionate personality, she leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets.
Now, after weeks of healing and strict crate rest, Melina is finally ready to begin searching for the forever family she's waited so patiently for.
Don't let her three legs fool you Melina doesn't let anything slow her down. She has all the playful puppy energy, curiosity, and determination of any other young dog. She especially loves being around other dogs and is happiest when she has canine friends nearby. She's also been keeping an impressively clean kennel for such a young puppy.
