Story
Sundae is a five-year-old scruffy mixed breed with long legs, a goofy streak, and a face that is genuinely hard to say no to. He's been with his family since he was a puppy, and by all accounts he's made the most of it. He's playful, gentle, and the kind of dog who just wants to be wherever his people are. He loves a good game of tug or fetch, he's house-trained, and he knows his basic cues. He is a bit of a goofball. Awkward in the best way. Silly on purpose. He plays with toys like it's his job and has a softness to him that catches people off guard for a dog his size. We just love this sweet, earnest pup! Sundae gets excited when he sees new people or other animals, and that enthusiasm can get ahead of him on walks. He's not aggressive, just enthusiastic, and he's genuinely getting better at taking a breath and watching instead of reacting. He'd do well with an adopter who's comfortable working on leash manners and can give him the structure and practice he needs to keep making progress. He hasn't had a lot of experience with other dogs, so if you have a resident dog, we'd want to do a slow, careful introduction. We think he'd love a dog friend, we just want to set him up to succeed. Sundae is ready for a home that matches his energy and appreciates his personality. If that sounds like you, we'd love to introduce you.

Story
Meet Jenny, a golden, curly-coated Labradoodle with kind eyes and the kind of steady, settled energy that comes with a dog who has spent their whole life as a cherished family pet. Her owners are experiencing housing insecurity and have made the heartbreaking decision to find Jenny a new home. Jenny has experience living with dogs, is reported to be happy around kids of all ages, and comfortable in the car. She knows her basic cues, has been through formal training, and loves the water. She sleeps on a dog bed indoors and has been an indoor dog her whole life. She is the complete package in a lot of ways. A note for transparency: Jenny takes her job as a home guardian seriously. Three years ago she nipped a delivery person who entered her fenced yard despite posted warnings and repeated barking. It did not break skin. Jenny was communicating clearly and doing what she understood to be her job. She'll do best in a home where she has a secure yard and an adopter who understands and manage what situations may cause Jenny stress and can set her up to succeed. Jenny came from a home full of love and she's ready to find that again. If you're looking for a gentle, well-mannered companion who just needs a fresh start, she's worth every bit of your consideration.

Story
I received my pet from the Forsyth Humane Society a few weeks ago. She was born November 21st so she’s almost 13 weeks. She has been crate training since coming to our home and uses pee pads until her vaccinations can be completed. I’m looking for a home for Princess that is extremely, loving, and patient. Princess loves attention but she also can settle in her special space just as well. Princess requires a home that for now she’s not alone for more than 2 hours at a time. Princess is the sweetest, curious, and easily trained. Princess is not reactive as we have been socializing her since the day we brought her home. She has been great with kids between the ages of 3 and 9. I believe Princess needs a home that has children in it because she does love children and has been safe around them.
