Story
Ollie is very sweet with his family but he is reactive to strangers that come to the door. He will also bark at other dogs when out for a walk on a leash, however, he does fine with other dogs at doggie daycare and at the dog park when he is off leash. He can be nervous and shy around people he does not know, however he is friendly and sweet with his family. He loves to cuddle next to you during a movie! He would do best in a quieter home that maybe has less activity and fewer people coming and going. He is crate trained, potty trained and knows basic commands. He has lots of energy and loves to go for long walks (he walks well on a leash) and loves playing fetch. He can also be left out in the house and is trustworthy--he will not chew things or be destructive. Overall, he is a good dog and calm and happy most of the time. He needs to be in a calm household that can help him manage his fear of strangers. He is a cavapoo, so he does not shed, but requires grooming about every 8 weeks.

This handsome boy is searching for a home that understands & appreciates sensitive dogs. He is loyal, loving, intelligent, & forms strong bonds with his people. He enjoys being part of the family but can be nervous in unfamiliar situations & prefers slow introductions. Like many sensitive dogs, he communicates when he is uncomfortable & does best with people who recognize & respect these signals. Recently, he was involved in an incident where he nipped a child after becoming overwhelmed. Because of this, we are looking for a home with dog-savvy adults/teens who understand k9 body language & can help him feel safe & successful. His ideal home would include:patience and understandingclear boundaries and routinerespect for his space when he needs ita calm environment where he can build confidenceThis decision is being made out of love. We want to find a home where he can thrive and be appreciated for the wonderful dog he is. We are committed to finding him the right home.
