Story
Porter is a sweet little dog! He gets along well with other dogs and loves attention!! He loves to be on your lap and will sit there forever if you let him. He was really a licker and kissy dog but I have broken of that habit. He only licks if given permission. I think he would be great with kids! I adopted him from a gentleman that was going through a divorce and he just did not have the time to spend with him. He ended up letting Porter have free rein of the house and therefore was not potty broke. I got Porter when he was 7 months old for my 5 year old German Shepherd who was pining away for my 15 year old Dachshund that I had put down due to old age problems. I have raised dogs in the past so I thought I could break this guy from going in the house. I have tried everything and even consulted with my dog trainer after he has totally ruined my expensive rugs and now working on my wood floor, I just cannot keep him anymore. He will need patience and a strong routine.

Story
Porter is a sweet ,sweet dog and does not have a mean bone in his body! I adopted Porter about a year and a half ago when he was 7. mos. old. The individual that I adopted him from was just going through a divorce and really did not have time to train him. He will go on a puppy pad and has occasional accidents in his kennels. He usually goes in the house at least two to three times a week and I have tried every method I know of to break him. I take him out every two to three hours but sometimes that does not work and he has an accident. I am no stranger to dogs and I raised Miniature Dachshunds for ten years. I have tried dozens of things with him. I think what will help Porter is for him to be in an active home that has children and folks are willing to take him on daily walks. He is great with other dogs in fact the reason I adopted him was for my German Shepherd who was pinning away for my fourteen year old Dachshund who at that time ,I had recently put down due to physical issues.

Story
I adopted Gavin from the Longmont Humane Society in Longmont, Colorado several years ago when they believed he was only 9 months old. He is a happy, good natured, and lovable dog that has done amazing with our first dog for about seven years. Due to the birth of our child having two dogs and an infant is too much. Gavin loves his pets, going for walks, and sleeping on his sofa cushion bed along with any pillow he can find. Gavin walks very well, he's house trained, and he goes to his house on command. Gavin is a loyal lap dog that would do better in a home alone, with older children, perhaps a larger dog, and a family or retired individual that can provide the care he deserves.
