Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting Maggie. Maggie lives in a Montevallo Foster home and we would be happy to set up a meet and greet for an adopter. Maggie is approximately three years old. She was roaming stray in rural Alabama for almost a year that we are aware. When we rescued her, she spent three weeks at the vet, and then she went into her foster home where she has thrived. Maggie is crate trained, but she doesn’t spend much time in her crate. She enjoys time in the yard when the weather is good, napping on the sofa, she sits for her treats, and she plays with her friend Charlie every day. For anyone consider considering a pair of dogs, we would absolutely do a two for one special for Maggie and Charlie to go together. Maggie is about 50 pounds and she will not grow any larger. We do not know her breeds without a DNA test. She’s probably a mixture of 10 different breeds of dogs. With her tight coat and maybe a little shape of her head, she may have some type of bully breed in her. Maggie is spayed, rabies, up-to-date on all vaccines, microchip, heartworm, negative, and receiving monthly parasite prevention. We will require a true fence yard for Maggie because she was stray for almost a year. Serious Adopters should fill out the application online and we would be happy to reach out to you. https://form.jotform.com/212574701956157

Story
Barkley is a happy dog who loves everyone. However, her owner is getting married and the German shepherd in the new family is too aggressive and would harm the beautiful chocolate lab. She must find a loving and happy home.
