Valerie is a gentle soul with a demure charm that wins hearts wherever she goes. She adores snuggling, and when she’s not curled up beside you, she’s likely romping around with her doggy friends or greeting new people with tail wags and happy chatter—yes, Valerie loves to “talk” and share her excitement! Whether it’s a cozy night in or a playful afternoon outside, Valerie is happiest when she’s part of the action. She’s looking for a forever home where she can be loved, included, and appreciated for the affectionate, joyful pup she is. Meet Stewie!Stewie is an active, enthusiastic young guy who’s ready to find a home where he can keep building on the great training he’s started here at KVHS. He’s a fast learner, especially when treats are involved—food is a big motivator for him! Stewie adores playing fetch (ball is absolutely life), and he’s always eager for the next fun activity.Stewie will thrive with someone who can provide routine, structure, and continued manners and leash training. He would do best in a home with dog-savvy cats—he may try to chase them—and with children 11+ due to his high energy and occasional jumpiness.Because he can be possessive of food and treats, Stewie needs to be the only dog in the home. That said, he may be open to having dog friends he can hang out with outside the home.If you’re looking for a smart, energetic, treat-motivated companion who’s ready to learn and loves to play, Stewie might be your perfect match!

Radar is a Lab/Hound mix coming to us from the south, and he is one seriously impressive pup. He and his buddy Chip were part of a federal training program, where they learned 16 commands — even though they didn’t ultimately complete the program, they still came away with an amazing foundation of training and skills. Radar is an extremely smart, eager-to-learn boy who thrives with structure and engagement. He’s the kind of dog who loves having a job to do and a person to focus on. He will be arriving in Maine on January 11th, and he’s already looking forward to meeting the family who will give him the loving forever home he deserves.
