Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. HELEN was saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023. HELEN is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of May 2023 and at the time of transport weighed around  34 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue     YouTube channel     and     photo albums on our Facebook page     to see a LOT of pictures and videos. HELEN is a sweet, affectionate, loving girl, who is full of that teenage energy. She is somewhat shy when she first meets people, or is in a new environment, but she is very gentle and will just go and hang out in a distance watching until she feels more confident. She has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving. She is always wiggling her bum, which in-turn wiggles her whole body and she is definitely a favourite with volunteers and everyone that meets her. She came on our December outing to Bissell Brothers and was great on the leash, on the bus and around people. She is looking for an active family who can give her the lifestyle that she needs to lead a happy, healthy life.  We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. HELEN is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption  fee of $250. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. WIZ was saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024.  Wiz is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of 27 November 2023 and in April 2024 weighed of 20 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. This sweet boy is still a young pup and so we are looking for families who understand that puppies are a lot of work and need lots of socializing, training, structure and routine. WIZ is such a gentle soul, he can be playful and boisterous one minute and then chilled and relaxing the next. He likes to wrestle and play with his puppy kennel mates, but also is in the middle of the puppy-pile when it is nap time. He will sneak into the other kennel and give me those puppy eyes to give him some sneaky cuddles and ear scratches which just make him melt into my arms - so adorable. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel   and  photo albums on our Facebook page   to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.
