Story
Ruger is a 4 ish year old Lab Mix who weighs 63 pounds. He is very friendly and active. He is dog friendly and keeps a clean kennel. He is currently a student at the Mansfield Correctional Institutions Tender Loving Care Dog Program. The specially chosen inmates are teaching him proper leash training, obedience and manners. A well trained dog is a great find! Adoption fee is $400 All Ashland County Humane Society animals' adoption fees include: ~spay/neuter ~micro-chip ~de-worming ~vaccinations, including rabies ~heartworm prevention If you are interested in adopting this dog, please visit: www.ashlandhumane.org/adoption-application (copy and paste link to address bar) for a printable application. Complete and email back to applications@AshlandHumane.org We are an all volunteer-based organization that does not have a building or a staff, only 8 members with jobs and families, trying to make a difference. We do not have the volunteer manpower to show animals to non-approved applicants. If your application gets screened and approved, we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and you can decide if this is the right pet for you. Thank you for understanding! We definitely want all our rescued animals to find great families! Thank you for your interest in a Rescue Pet! Adopt, don't shop! Colt is a 4 ish year old Lab Mix who weighs 62.8 pounds. He is very friendly and active. He is dog friendly, especially with larger dogs. He seems to be potty trained and is at Mansfield Correctional Facilities, Tender Loving Care Dog Program learning obedience commands.
