Meet Cricket, a shy dog who needs extra time to warm up to new people. Cricket is active and outdoorsy as he loves to go on hikes and be outside. He does struggle with resource guarding, guarding multiple various items toward both people and other animals. His previous owner stated it was predicatable however, which can make management and training more successful. While he has lived with other dogs before, he can show discomfort towards new dogs and the dogs in his previous home so slow intros to new animals is needed. Cricket needs a mature home due to his guarding and fearful behaviors. Cricket would benefit from a patient home experienced with or willing to work on resource guarding, clear boundaries, and structured enrichment. He has been available for almost two weeks with only two visits!!

Nelson is a loyal and affectionate companion once he has built trust, a process that takes patience but rewards with a dog who loves nothing more than being in your lap and accepting belly rubs. He is crate trained and has made big strides in his house training. Nelson is working on his confidence, leash skills, and recall with his foster. He is hesitant around men and should not be around small children, as he may snap when unsure or scared. He does not like cats and would need a very slow, supervised introduction to a resident dog. Nelson comes with a slow feeder, as he tends to gulp his food, and he benefits from a consistent routine for feeding and potty breaks. Meet Granny Shark! Granny Shark might be small, but she’s got a heart full of love and a personality that’s impossible not to adore. She’s estimated to be 7–10 years old and came from a home with over 30 other little dogs — so it’s safe to say she’s ready to enjoy some peace, quiet, and one-on-one love now! After all she’s been through, she deserves to be the spoiled princess of the house. Granny Shark can be a bit timid at first, but once she feels safe, she absolutely adores her people. She loves to be near you — snuggled on the couch, curled up in a blanket, or just following you around to see what you’re up to. She’s kennel trained and seems to be house trained too, though she might whine a little when left alone (she just loves company that much). When it comes to other dogs, Granny Shark prefers those who are calm and respectful. She’s not a fan of dogs getting right in her face and will tell them off with a little growl or snap if they do — but as long as they give her space, she’s perfectly content.
