Pint-Sized Cutie VIGGO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Viggo and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Dec. 7th) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria, VA (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!     Name:  Viggo            Best Guess for Breed: Chi Mix     Best Guess for Age:  13 weeks as of 11/27            SEX: Male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):  6lbs as of 11/27   Gets Along With:  Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations:   Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Viggo is Looking For:  Hiya! I'm Viggo! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I'm a little older, I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me? What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than February 24, 2026. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.   Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       . Story
Meet Bella, a darling 5–6-year-old Chi mix (possibly a Chiweenie) who weighs just 9 pounds but has a heart big enough to fill your whole home. Bella’s greatest joy in life is being with her person. She is a true little lovebug who will happily curl up in your lap, snuggle under the blankets, and follow you from room to room with soft devotion. Though she’s a Velcro dog in the sweetest way, Bella is also wonderfully well-adjusted. She handles alone time like a champ and is quiet, calm, and content while you’re away. She’s pad trained, respectful, and has the sweetest, gentle energy — the perfect mix for someone looking for a loyal companion who isn’t demanding. Bella gets along beautifully with other dogs and coexists peacefully with cats. She’s social, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day with her soft presence and warm eyes. If you’re an older adult or anyone looking for a constant companion who will fill your life with warmth and unconditional love, Bella may be the perfect match. This precious girl is ready to shower her forever family with comfort, companionship, and endless snuggles.   If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 1, 2025, 1:28 pm

Please contact Destiny Sibert (DestinyS@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.small sweetie seeking fresh start and love! BETTY BOOP NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Betty Boop         Best Guess for Breed:  Chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age:  4 years as of December 2025        SEX: Female   Approximate Weight:  5.7 lbs   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Puerto Rico shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations:     Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Betty Boop would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Betty Boop is Looking For:  Many rescue dogs don't come with a back story. Betty Boop came with part of a story: 'Betty Boop was abandoned in a neighborhood in a city about 15 miles south of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was malnourished and very skinny. Betty found shelter at an elderly woman's house in the neighborhood and the woman kept her tied up in her yard. The woman's granddaughter's boyfriend saw Betty and contacted a rescue for help to find her a home.'   So there you have it. Betty Boop is looking for food, shelter, and love. She's with the local PR rescue now - but wants nothing more than to get her own humans, to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved. She has so much love and loyalty to offer in return.    What do you say? Does this tiny pup have a spot on your lap and in your life? What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once she has spent time in foster care.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
