Romeo is the sweetest dog. He absolutely loves people, children, and other pets. He is very friendly, gentle, and barely ever barks. This is incredibly difficult for me and truly breaks my heart, but unfortunately, due to my current job search and the busy schedule that comes with it, I’m no longer able to give him the time and attention he deserves. I adopted Romeo from my neighbors in Plantation because they already had two dogs and were looking for a loving home for him. Maybe you will be the one to turn this tragedy around. Maria Camilla arrived at the rescue about 7 years ago, with a group of 5 other dogs. All her pals were adopted a long time ago, but poor Maria Camilla keeps getting passed on for our Shih Tzus. True, she was not well socialized when she arrived. But her very long stay at the rescue, receiving consistent love and care, and the company of the other dogs, has helped her to become the wonderful lady she is today. Maria Camilla is a Chihuahua mix, about 12 years old, who still has the spunk of a younger dog. She can be moody, like any older lady, but is generally sweet and loves getting love and attention, petting and belly rubs, and going for walks. Leo is a very special boy, I believe he’s part kangaroo :) We absolutely love him but unfortunately he’s marking his territory all over the new baby’s things. Only that, nothing else. Unfortunately he spends a lot of his time in a large crate because after a year of trying sprays and scents and YouTube videos he still wants to be alpha. We also believe our boy has a few loose wires. I’ve been a dog mom since I could walk and this boy is different. He’s hilarious and so full of love but he’s a dumb dumb.
