I love soft places to rest, gentle affection, being invited into someone’s lap, and I’m ready to find a family who wants a loyal partner by their side. Favorite Things: Bucky is a little lover of comfort and fun. He enjoys stretching out beside his person, settling into a soft bed, and soaking up couch time when invited. Snacks make him light up, especially the fruity treats he’s recently decided are irresistible. He also enjoys gentle games in the yard before easing back into relaxation. His easygoing nature and quirky sweetness make everyday moments feel warm and delightful. Training and Manners: Bucky is housetrained when let out regularly and moves through home life with smooth confidence. He can be left alone without worry and sleeps soundly in the people bed at night, happy to be close without ever asking for attention. He rides beautifully in the car and has solid everyday manners, though he’s still polishing his leash skills. Health and Care: Bucky is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He will just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. His grooming needs are simple, limited to baths and nail trims, and he handles them well. Papi is very affectionate and playful. He has medium energy and loves to run around in the backyard. He would do well with another dog due to his playful nature. He likes treats a lot and this motivates his behavior very much. Boiled chicken is his favorite. He loves to snuggle and I believe he would do well with kids. He needs someone to be home a lot as he doesn’t like being all alone. Papi is only 6 months old so there is still time to mold and shape his behavior, so he can become the best version of himself. His birthday is January 22nd 2026.

Hodr is 100% adorable! 9-10 years old and 4.5 pounds. Almost completely blind, but can see some shadows. He is fine with other dogs and seems to love all humans. He loves being held or sitting right next to a person. And he loves to burrow under blankets. He has an uneven gait (arthritis or maybe bad knees), but he gets around just fine. He does have excellent teeth, so he must have been well cared for for much of his life. He is up to date on all his vaccines, not neutered (and the vets advised against it at this age and size). He would be an excellent senior companion. Applications for Hodr are available at www.chesed-rescue.org/adoptions. We background and vet check all applicants and are looking for stable homes.
