Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Adoption Fee: $450.00 (available 6/11) Wilbur is a sweet 3-month-old Chihuahua/Aussie mix who is on the lookout for a loving family to call his own. He’s currently learning his potty and leash manners and is doing great—he’ll be a pro in no time with a little consistency, patience, and plenty of belly rubs. Wilbur has a gentle, thoughtful personality. He’s a bit more reserved than his brothers and likes to watch what’s going on before jumping in—but once he decides he’s ready, he’s all in with his whole heart. It’s adorable to see him build that confidence! And let’s be honest—Wilbur is quite the handsome little guy, and he definitely knows it He also has a fun, playful side and loves spending time in the garden, especially weaving through the tall lilies like a little gnome. New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Adoption Fee: $450.00 (available 6/11) Ernie is a 3-month-old Chihuahua/Aussie mix with a heart as big as his curiosity. This sweet boy has quickly shown just how special he is—especially when it comes to his love for other dogs. Ernie is absolutely obsessed with his foster family's senior dog. He’ll snuggle up as close as he can, quietly soaking in her presence while being incredibly respectful of her space. He even became the first of his brothers to enjoy an actual walk—simply because he wanted to follow his “adopted” big sister. Because of this, Ernie would do best in a home with another dog… even a calm, no-nonsense older pup would be perfect for him. He’s doing great with potty training and is already barking at the door when he needs to go out—such a smart boy! Ernie is also the most curious and brave of his siblings, though he does rely on companionship and may take separation from his brothers the hardest at first. With patience, love, and a furry friend by his side, Ernie is going to grow into an incredible companion. He truly has the sweetest heart and so much love to give. New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Story
This is my girl Roxy, all I remember about her old home was that she was bred to be a chug mix but turned out to be more Chihuahua than pug and was going to be discarded until I adopted her. She’s about 9 years old. Unfortunately, My family and I have to move out and the place we’re going does not allow pets. My little niece has taken care of her more than I could with my mental health and I have registered my two cats as ESA’s, but I would love for my girl to have a good home, she loves my niece who is also 9 years old, it is very difficult for her to let go. Roxy needs to be very loved so she could also get through being without my niece, she barks a lot at strangers but also warms up with treats and assuring words. The weight of moving and letting go of my dog who has grown up with me hasn’t hit yet. I just know that I’d feel a little bit better knowing she has a good person to take care of her. 🥲❤️

Story
Hi! My name is Seymour I’m a 6-month-old Chihuahua mix, weighing about 13 lbs, and I’m a big fan of snuggles! I love being close to my people and enjoy spending time with my foster dog siblings. I also do well with children who are gentle with me. Cats? They confuse me a bit, but I don’t mind them at all.I’m looking for a home with a safe, fully fenced yard where I can play and explore. I also require lots of hugs and kisses—and I insist on sleeping under the covers in your bed. I’ll happily use a crate when you’re not home (I’m told it’s for my safety), but when you are home, I want to be right by your side.I love wearing cozy sweaters and fleece jackets and look pretty adorable in them, if I do say so myself. You may notice that I’m missing of one of my back feet. I was either born this way or had an injury when I was very young—but it doesn’t slow me down one bit! Sometimes I walk or run on three legs, and other times I use all four. The vets say it’s callused and causes me no discomfort. I run, jump, and climb stairs just like any other pup.If you’re searching for an energetic little snuggle bug, I might be your perfect match.Oh—and I almost forgot! I am fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.Could I be the one to complete your family? My adoption fee is $350.00. Please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com if you have questions about him.  If you would like to apply for Seymour, please visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.  March 9, 2026, 5:54 pm
