You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.adoption fee $300 Meet Peanut! This adorable 1-year-old Chihuahua is full of curiosity and love! Peanut is a snuggle bug who adores burrowing under the covers and being close to her people. She’s happiest when she’s near you and would thrive with a friendly pup companion in the home. Her potty manners are still a work in progress, but she’s a quick learner who wants to please. Special Note: Peanut had some malnutrition early in life, which led to a medical condition. After careful vet care, it’s been determined she will need daily seizure medication—likely for life. This sweet girl just needs someone willing to accommodate her medical needs. Peanut will reward the right person with endless loyalty and love. If you have questions when you meet her, we’re happy to share everything we know! New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. Story
**Pending a meet & greet on November 21, 2025** COURTESY POST: Sammie is a Chinese Crested male who is looking for his forever home. He is 9 months old and is the Hairy Hairless variety. Sammie has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative (and on monthly preventative) and is also microchipped as well. Sammie is from a breeder (who has since retired) and his parents both have health testing done. We have contacted the breeder and yes, the breeder is aware that he is being rehomed. This boy is doing great with grooming and crate training and has the best personality. Sammie is a VERY comical boy! He loves to play with the other dogs and is a total food hound. He absolutely loves running around the yard and sunbathing. He has been doing well riding in the car and is doing working on leash training. He loves his people and is dog friendly. He is also good with cats but is still a puppy and learning to respect their space. He may very well chase one if they run. I'm not sure how he would be with small children as he hasn't been around many other than a toddler occasionally. He absolutely loves to play with toys and loves chewies. Je weighs just a little over 14 pounds. Sammie will come with his vet/microchip records, some toys and some of the food eats. If interested, please do research on this breed (history, grooming maintenance, etc), talk to your family members and please be serious if/when applying. We would like him to go to a home, not an apartment. We will not ship him so please do not ask. Sammie will require continued patience/training with crate training, housebreaking, obedience training, leash training and becoming a new member of someone's family. He will require continued grooming throughout his life - whether you keep him shaved like he is now or you let his little coat grow out. His fee is $850. If you have an issue with his adoption fee, move on. This fee doesn't even come close to what it cost to purchase him, keep him maintained, veterinary care, etc. If seriously interested, please click the link below and fill out the application: https://form.jotform.com/251826773786069
