Meet McKenna — a gentle, sensitive girl looking for a calm and understanding home. McKenna has come a long way in her foster home. She uses the dog door all day to take herself outside and keeps her kennel clean, even during long work shifts. She hasn’t chewed blankets or bedding in foster care and seems comforted having another dog nearby. She is very sweet but easily frightened. Sudden movements, raised voices, or loud environments overwhelm her, and she may scream or have a little accident when scared. She does fine around calm, respectful children, but fast movements terrify her. McKenna clearly came from a rough past and needs patient adopters who will help her continue to build confidence. She thrives with another friendly dog, a quiet household, and access to a dog door or consistent potty routine. Ideal Home: -Calm, low-stress environment -Another dog for companionship -Dog door or steady outdoor routine -Patient adopters experienced with fearful dogs -Gentle, predictable kids only McKenna is a tender soul ready for a safe place to finally relax and feel loved.

Phoenix is a small chihuahua/terrier mix. She was abandoned at a boarding facility, when her owner moved and could not have a dog in their new home. She is quite the spunky little girl, house and crate trained she loves to be sitting in a chair with her foster parents, is the best little dog in the car and she likes to go on walks. She is a great little watch dog and gets along with most dogs. She just wants to please her foster parents.

She is new to our program and settling in to her foster home. Nelly is hard at work with her potty training and learning to navigate the doggy door in her foster home. She gets along with the other dogs in the home but she would also thrive as an only pet.

He enjoys playing and wrestling with other small dogs once he gets comfortable but would do fine as an only dog. He loves playing in the back yard and uses the doggie door frequently.
