LES NESSMAN IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Les Nessman recently had his yearly. He lost one tooth but everything else looked great :) Donations are always appreciated! Les came to us a few years ago. He is a behavioral case. Les is unpredictable and he will bite. It is sort of surprising just how hard this little guy can bite at just under 7lbs. He bit through my husband's thumbnail. He also needs a quiet environment because if anything is going on outside, he tends to bark until he gives himself tracheitis. Over time we have learned when to jump. We know which muzzles work best and we have perfected the blanket scoop. For these reasons, we do not feel it is in his best interests to place him for adoption. Donations to maintain his care are appreciated. Even snarky little dogs need vet care and monthly preventions. TLC Rescue is a reputable, all volunteer 501c3. (When Ramona first came into rescue she was terrified of being outside and would only use potty pads indoors, so this is a huge step forward for Roamona!)This little one is really making progress. She now enjoys individual attention. Ramona has made a remarkable journey and will make a special person a wonderful pet. You can read the earlier posts about her and see how far she has come.UPDATE Dec 17, 2024: Ramona is really starting to open up and trust. She is starting to let her foster parents pet her and even rub her belly! She constantly follows her foster mom around and stays right by her side. Initial post:This little cutie hasn’t had the best start in life but she’s ready to find her person and/or forever family. Ramona came from a bad hoarding situation, this sweet girl had never been outside until she came into foster care. She is ~ 22 months old, 12.6lbs, UTD on vaccines and spayed. Ramona needs a very patient person. She is still very scared and takes a while to warm up to you. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and LOVES playing with toys and her foster siblings. Ramona is still terrified to go outside but she is pee pad and kennel trained. She will need a kennel of some sort, this is her safe space where she feels comfortable. Ramona will not immediately warm up to you and will take time to get comfortable and trust you. She has slowly started letting her foster parents touch her and take treats from their hands. She gets very excited and acts like she wants to be petted but just not quite sure yet. Ramona will need a lot of patience, love, and understanding. She has been through a lot but is healing and getting more trustful everyday. She is a sweet pup who deserves to find a loving home.Are you that special person Ramona needs to live her best life? RUSTY is an adorable little red mixed breed dog looking for a home. He's the perfect little sidekick. Rusty is probably some type of chiweenie mix (chihuahua/dachshund), maybe with a little corgi mixed in and heaven only knows what else. He's a medium energy middle-aged boy, 7-8 years old. He's silly and playful and affectionate. Rusty is currently a bit overweight, he's 16 pounds and should weight about 12 pounds. He'd love a home where he gets plenty of attention, walks and playtime. Rusty is okay with other small dogs and so far ignores kitties. If you'd like to meet Rusty, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Rusty at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized.
