LES NESSMAN IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Les Nessman recently had his yearly. He lost one tooth but everything else looked great :) Donations are always appreciated! Les came to us a few years ago. He is a behavioral case. Les is unpredictable and he will bite. It is sort of surprising just how hard this little guy can bite at just under 7lbs. He bit through my husband's thumbnail. He also needs a quiet environment because if anything is going on outside, he tends to bark until he gives himself tracheitis. Over time we have learned when to jump. We know which muzzles work best and we have perfected the blanket scoop. For these reasons, we do not feel it is in his best interests to place him for adoption. Donations to maintain his care are appreciated. Even snarky little dogs need vet care and monthly preventions. TLC Rescue is a reputable, all volunteer 501c3. Meet Lemon! 🍋🐾Lemon is a 5-year-old, 11-pound Chihuahua mix—possibly with some Dachshund—who came to us with his siblings after their owner was no longer able to care for them. Based on ages, we believe Lemon is the sibling of Blueberry, Blackberry and Grape, and likely the son of Lime. We were told Chihuahua, but judging by their looks, we suspect a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, though we can’t make any guarantees on breed.Lemon is a fun balance of playful and relaxed. While he’s fully grown, he’s still young enough to be a little wiggly, enjoy playtime, and go for walks—but he also truly appreciates quieter moments like snuggling on the couch or keeping your lap warm. He’s a great match for someone who wants a companion with a bit of pep and plenty of cuddle time.These dogs have lived with other dogs their whole lives so they will likely warm up faster to their new surroundings with another dog or just need more adjustment time in a new home without another dog. Lemon has received his vaccines, is flea & tick treated, tested negative for Heartworm, Lyme, and Anaplasma, and is positive for Ehrlichia, for which he is currently being treated (it is not contagious). He is on heartworm prevention and will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.We’re unsure how Lemon feels about cats. He has lived with other dogs, though they were all small and related to him, so proper introductions will be important with new canine companions. He did not previously live with children, so if there are kids in the home, we ask that they come meet him.
