Story
UPDATE! &#226&#156&#168 This sweet and tiny family was pulled from a local overcrowded shelter!! They have settled into foster care and are doing well.  Momma Gracee is a chi mix and she was absolutely terrified upon arrival But has decided to love her foster mom and the good life. She’s around 2- 3 years old and weighs 9 lbs. We have no idea what dad is but we expect something similar to mom as these babies are TINY!! The babies are around 8 weeks and little Georgee only weighs 1.5 lbs and sweet Gabee is barely 2 lbs. This whole family will be available in a few weeks once they have completed their required vetting. We are taking applications now and will be reserving them to the perfect forever homes.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Story
INCOMING!  This teeny cutie is Donald. He was surrendered to a local overcrowded shelter after somehow injuring his leg. He is an adorable chi mix. He’s  10 years old and 4 lbs. Donald is a sweet little lap baby who would enjoy a calmer household to live out his golden years. He does well with other animals. He is utd, hw neg(tested below detectable levels) and will be neutered and have his leg treated as needed. He will be transferred to his foster home tomorrow. He will get settled in and we will update his pics and info as we get them.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Story
UPDATE!! Precious Marilyn has recovered remarkably from her extensive hernia repair and tumor removal a month ago.  This precious girl  has settled in her fosters home well. She is still very shy and a little timid but a total lovebug. She’s great in the house. She loves snuggling under the covers and being close to her person. She would be best in a home that understands it might take her some time to warm up but we promise she is worth the wait and is the best little companion. She can not jump on the couch or bed, but she lets you know she needs to be put up wherever you are. She’s great with other animals. This sweet girl just wants a lap to call her own for the new year. Our miracle girl, Marilyn, is a chi mix who is 6-8 years old and 8 lbs. She fully vetted, altered and ready for a home to call her own. Story
UPDATE!! Sweet Momma Millie is still looking for her forever home. She came to us several months back after being found under a house with a litter of pups. As of last week all of her babies went to their forever home but sweet Millie is still looking. She’s a very typical chi. She bonds with her person hard but isn’t a fan of strangers until she’s used to them. She would do best in a older calmer household with out small kids. She’s wonderful with all size dogs but not a fan of cats or smaller animals. She’s wonderful in the house and crate. Millie is a few years old and and 16 lbs. We believe she is a Chi/Terrier mix. She really is a wonderful companion and lap pup. She is utd, hw tested and spayed. Do not contact any of the vet clinics we work with, as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. Story
UPDATE!! This sweet girl is Dede! Sadly, she was abandoned at a local overcrowded shelter. Thankfully, we secured a foster and were able to pull into a foster home. Dede is a sweet girl but timid at first. She opens up quickly. She is great with other dogs. She does wonderful indoors and the foster said just a just a little doll. She’s the perfect and calm lap girl. She would do best in a home without small kids. Dede is 3-5 years old and 10 lbs. She fully vetted, altered and spayed. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!
