Story
Bandit is a sweet boy who is looking for someone's lap he can lay on to enjoy his days. He would prefer to be an only dog because he scares easily but could be with other dogs if they are low key. Bandit really just loves his people and would love a life with you! He is crate trained and walks well on a leash.

Story
Piper is a three year old “Bullwawa” (French Bulldog and Chihuahua Mix). She has been to obedient school, is super healthy, and an all around wonderful dog. We’ve had her since puppy-hood and the only reason we are considering rehoming her is because we have two young children, and she nips. She tends to get along with other dogs, but doesn’t like to greet other dogs on a leash. She lives with cats but chases after them we think she would get along in a home with no children. She is sweet, easy to walk, very playful. She loves people, but it takes her a while to warm up as she is a little skittish. She is crate trained. I would love to talk more with anyone who is interested in her. She is a great companion and full of life, We just might not be a compatible home anymore now that we have two babies.

Story
Hello It breaks my heart to rehome Layla but it’s been 6 years since I’ve had a puppy and it takes more time than I have to give. Layla is such a sweet puppy if she could cuddle and sleep with you all day she would. She is smart, funny and sometimes likes to talk. She is somewhat house trained. I would say about 6 out of 10. She walks good on a leash. She knows how to sit and to come when you call her name, most times ! Work in progress. She is 4 months old and loves to be loved on. She gets along with my neighbor dogs and loves to play. I would love to find a home for her that would take time with her and love her as she deserves. Because she is terrier mixed I think she would do great for anyone that is looking for a companion and looking for a dog to be active with as she likes to play.

Story
Poor Chewy was brought into the county shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He had ear and eye infections that took several weeks to treat. It seems they were left untreated for quite some time, and we have tried several different medications to get them cleared up. Our vet said, because of scarring and irritation he will need his ears cleaned and medicated regularly. The ones we were given costs around $35.00 and should last a month or two. He unfortunately does have a heart murmur and will more than likely need medications in the near future. Chewy is a loyal and affectionate companion, deeply devoted to his human. While he may be wary around large dogs, he gets along famously with smaller breeds. He enjoys cuddling on the sofa to watch TV and finds comfort in sleeping under the covers with his human. He does bark at strangers but walks well on a leash and is house trained. Chewy would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention as the only dog, with a couple or single person who can provide him with the love and affection he craves. He bonds closely with his human and prefers not to be left alone for long periods. He even met some kids at his current foster home and had no issues. Chewy is around 10 years old and weighs 15 lbs., likes to ride in the car, and is good on the leash. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and received a fecal, exam and 6 months of heartworm preventative. We do not know if he would be ok with cats or a busy home. He has been around children and was a sweet boy. He is not a fan of the crate. He will go in but will complain loudly. He also likes to sit on top of the crate and be the king. lol He is good with house manners if taken out regularly. He goes outside when prompted and will occasionally ask to go out. He does use pee pads if he is indoors. We do know he had one owner and a small male dog who was only 1.5 years old with him in his former home. Everyone who meets him says he is a sweet old man, and he would love to be the one and only with his one person. He loves to have one person and he attaches to them and loves to sleep next to you under the covers. Grandpa Chewy is located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Home visit, approved application, and adoption fee of $200 required.

Story
Queen of the castle & my sunny spot can be yours too!!! Hershey (aka Porky) is a loyal lap looking for the ideal forever home. She has never had a litter of puppies and $150.00 will be given to the new owner to use towards spay cost or for additional vaccines. She does have current rabies vaccination. Her owner is an elderly man with terminal cancer and less than 2 months life expectancy. He recently transitioned to hospice center which does not allow dogs. Hershey was raised on a sailboat and is potty trained; however, she needs to be taken outside frequently to potty due to her small size. She is being fostered by a friend at the moment. She does best with 1 adult owner who has a warm lap and an abundance of time to spend with her. She is dominant around other dogs and would do best in a non-dog home but not required She barks at cats, so, best not be in a cat household. These behaviors are typical for her breed. She loves to burrow under the covers to sleep.
