Story
Delilah is an 11-year-old Chihuahua/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix with a soft, cream-colored coat and a big personality packed into her 15-pound frame. She’s looking for a special home where she can be loved, understood, and given the attention she deserves! She does need a fenced yard. She had a recent dental procedure so that is all done but she did loose a few teeth!! She is now on special urinary diet due to her having a tendency toward urinary tract infections. We hope the new diet eliminates this problem!! So far so good. Delilah adores children but would do best with kids over five who understand how to interact gently. She’s an active girl who enjoys long walks, hikes, and plenty of sniffing adventures. Don’t let her size fool you—she’s a talented jumper and might just outsmart any doggie gate or even jump out of a car window! At home, she enjoys free roam and prefers to sleep in bed with her person. She gets along well with dogs after proper introductions and has lived with breeds like Labs and Golden Doodles. While she tolerates cats, she’s more likely to chase them outdoors. Indoor cats are fine but outside, they are fair game so a home without cats is prefered. Small animals like chickens or rodents? Probably not a great match. Delilah is wary of men but can be won over with treats—luckily, she’s very food-motivated! Plush toys are her favorite, and she’s a devoted "Velcro dog" who loves snuggling with her human and canine friends. She bonds closely with one special person and tends to stay underfoot, so she may not be ideal for seniors who are unsteady. Her ideal home has a person who works from home or is retired, ensuring she gets the companionship she craves. A calm environment, consistent routine, and lots of praise will help her thrive. She can get overwhelmed with noise or change, so she needs a patient, compassionate owner who will provide reassurance and love. Looking for a loyal, loving, and adventurous companion? Delilah can’t wait to meet you!

Story
SHILO~is a sweet natured pup about 6-7 months old female chi mix. She gets along with my small 7 year old dog just fine. We dont have any cats. She is still a little shy and nervous, but she has made a lot of ground in the 5 days that she has been here. She likes to cuddle and be by your side alot. She likes to sleep on the foot of my bed. I think if she had to be put in a crate at night, it would be too lonely for her. She would do well in place where someone is home throughout the day. She is insecure right now, and if you leave her alone, she starts to whimper and howl. Because she is still somewhat fearful, a home that doesn't have small children. I would think over 5 years and up for kids would be fine. She is now starting to display some fun playfull energy. She shows no aggression towards us or our dog. She is really such a good dog, and we hope she finds a great home. Please apply at www.hopeshavenfriends.org

Furley is coming along ! Still skittish but is learning to trust ! He was a terrified little guy ! So we think if he can have a chance in a home that he feels safe and not thrown in the yard he will thrive ! Please consider this guy ! From the shelter to now in foster such a difference ! Still a ways to go but he is coming along ! Can you give him a chance ? He is 8 years old. He was used as a breeder dog and left in a kennel if he wasn't doing his job. Furley loves to be petted and loves to sun bathe.

Story
Baby Bat embodies the personality, uniqueness and likeness of the Batman. First, he works alone. No sidekicks or partners. He prefers solitude and his space. Baby Bat has lived with his foster and her dog pack for 5 years, he gets along with them but tolerates them at most. He would do well in a home where he is the only dog, no children, and adults only. Next, Baby Bat is an apex predator. Which means he needs his sleep and food and not to be interrupted or coddled when given either. Baby Bat is not a lap or cuddly dog. Finally, did we mention Baby Bat is a Chihuahua mix? That's a really important detail! Baby Bat is a great and loyal dog seeking a great family to adopt him! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
