Story
Uno Bean is a 3-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who is cute as can be, complete with the cutest little underbite that gives him so much character. He’s the kind of dog who may feel a little unsure when meeting new people at first, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his sweet personality really shines.

Uno is a total lap dog through and through. If you’re sitting on the couch, Uno will absolutely be right there with you. He loves to cuddle, get pets, and soak up all the love from his person. Once he bonds with you, he’s incredibly loyal, affectionate, and always down to snuggle.
Even though Uno has only been with his foster for about a month, they’ve already formed a very close bond, which shows how deeply he connects once he feels secure. He does great with other dogs and would love to live in a home with one. He is around both big and small dogs, walks nicely on leash with multiple dogs, and interacts well with all of them. He also plays a ton with the dogs in his foster home and truly enjoys having dog friends.
Uno has also been around a cat and did very well with him. More testing will still be needed to make sure he would be a good long-term match with a cat, but so far he has shown positive behavior.
He has been around kids in his foster home and has done well, though more testing will help ensure the best fit. Uno also loves to play, but when playtime is over, he’s happiest curled up on the couch, cuddled close to his person.
Uno would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands he just needs a little time to feel comfortable. Once he does, you’ll gain a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved right back.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
