What my friends at OHS say about me:As an older gentleman, I am looking for a home to live out my golden years soaking up all the love I can get.I am full of sunshine, happiness, love... and treats!I had so much fun meeting another dog here in the shelter. My friends at OHS think I would be great at making new dog friends!I know some basic cues, such as sit.I would much prefer a leisurely sniffari walk than joining you for anything fast paced.I have arthritis, which there is no cure for, but there are many ways to manage. The type of home I'm looking for:I may do best in a home without cats or small animals, but having another dog to hang out with would be very fun!It could be with you! Sonnet is a sweetheart puppy that was rescued out of California with her litter mates. She would love to live a charmed life with you! - 3.13 pounds on 1/13/26 and approximate date of birth is 11/18/25 - Possibly a Chihuahua mix. We believe she will be between 15-20 pounds full grown but cannot guarantee size at maturity. - Sweet, loving, cuddly, playful, social cutie - Getting excellent socialization with other dogs, gentle children, new sights and sounds in foster. - Prefer a future home with children ages 10+ if there are kids in the home only due to how small and fragile Sonnet is. We are looking for puppy adopters who are patient, kind and committed to gradual, safe socialization. Who realize potty training a small breed puppy can take quite a bit of effort and consistency. Adoption fee includes two rounds of puppy vaccines, microchip that is free to register, multiple rounds of dewormer and flea/tick/heartworm prevention current. It also includes spay surgery between 7 months to 1 year of age at our partner vet clinic in Milwaukie or SW Portland. Also included is a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland. $450 adoption fee Fostered in Gresham, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT SONNET ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
This cutie is Peanut Chi. He is around 3.5 months old and under 7 lbs. We think he may be a *Chihuahua Mix*, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that he is adorable and from one of the MOST desperate areas in the entire US based on statistics. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Peanut has been in a loving foster home since he was under a week old, growing up alongside his mom, siblings, resident adult dogs, and rotating foster dogs of all breeds and sizes. Thanks to that early and consistent socialization, Peanut is wonderfully well-adjusted and truly does amazing with everyone he meets. He’s a neighborhood favorite with adults, kids, and dogs alike. Peanut is currently working on his leash skills... he’s still deciding how he feels about it, but his confidence shines in other ways. He loves playing chase in the yard with his humans and happily tries to join in on the big dogs’ playtime (while smartly knowing wrestling with 60-lb friends is not his lane). His favorite snacks include tiny bundles of ham and cheese and cottage cheese, and when playtime is over, he’s perfectly content curled up in his foster mom’s lap watching Netflix or sunbathing outside. He’s also working on potty training. Because he has access to water around the clock, he needs nighttime potty breaks. When his foster parents are away, Peanut does great relaxing in a pen with his toys and a pee pad, a setup that keeps him safe and sets him up for success as he continues to grow and learn. Peanut’s days are happily simple and full of companionship. His foster parents work from home, so he’s always surrounded by people and dogs. He starts his mornings by heading straight outside, then comes in for breakfast before settling in with his foster mom to play with toys and “help” with morning chores by chasing her around the house. The rest of the day follows a perfect puppy rhythm: play, eat, sleep — repeat. With Texas weather being unpredictable, Peanut has built quite the wardrobe and is very agreeable about getting dressed. He’s a total sweetheart who loves to snuggle into the crook of his foster mom’s neck and give the softest kisses. Like any puppy, Peanut is still learning his manners and may occasionally chew on fingers or toes, but he’s easily redirected with a toy. He’s very social and thrives on companionship, so he would do best in a home with other animals and/or a family that is around much of the time to keep him engaged and loved. Peanut is still very young and will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. A puppy is discovering new things that shape their personalities with each passing day. Implementing routine, structure, setting boundaries, and proper socialization is key from the start. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy starting immediately when arriving at their new home, which will help with potty training, energy management, and the overall development of a well-rounded adult dog. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? We proudly have over 17,000 successful adoptions and excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about creating lasting matches between dog and family for long term success and take the time to ensure each adoption is a fit through our matchmaking process. At our 2-acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth, and we enjoy seeing their progress! We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. Story
Hi! My name is Annie. I was in danger of being euthanized at a high kill shelter in Fresno, CA because of space. I am safe now with my rescue in Oregon. I’m estimated to be 4 months old and I weigh approximately 5lbs. I’m a tiny baby. I’m up to date on my vaccines, microchipped and learning how to use potty pads. I’m a very healthy and happy little girl. I love people and love to play with other dogs. I don’t mind cats either! I love my toys and I’m very treat motivated and will learn fast. If you are interested in giving me my forever home, please go directly to my rescues website at savingonepawatatimerescue.org to complete my adoption application. I look forward to meeting my new family! Love, Annie
