Story
Meet Louie! Don't let his age fool you, Louie still has plenty of love left to give! This adorable senior Chihuahua mix found himself at the shelter after being surrendered with his loyal best friend, Luka. After everything they've been through together, we're hoping to find them a forever home where they can continue sharing life's adventures. Louie recently had his senior wellness exam and is in pretty good health. His biggest medical need is a dental cleaning with the removal of some diseased teeth, and he's already scheduled to have that taken care of. Once his smile is feeling better, he'll be ready to enjoy all the comforts of home. Louie is everything people love about senior small dogs, gentle, sweet, and happiest when he's close to the people he loves. He enjoys the simple things in life: a cozy lap, a soft bed, a leisurely stroll, and plenty of quiet companionship. His calm, loving nature makes him an easy little friend to adore. From the history we were given, Louie lived peacefully with three cats and has good house manners, making him an easy companion in the home. We don't have any information about his experience with other dogs, so we'll be doing dog introductions to learn how he feels about potential canine friends. If you're looking to make a life-changing difference for two deserving dogs, Louie and Luka are ready to fill your home with twice the love, twice the gratitude, and a friendship that's truly special. Be sure to submit an adoption application on our website! Adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, fecal testing, flea/tick prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. Louie would do great in a home with...Cats : Yep! Story
Dora 2 years, spayed female, 10 lbs Chihuahua mix LIKES: Playing chase, playing tug of war, ripping things apart, being close to her human, sleeping next to her human, being carried around her backpack. DISLIKES: Loud noises, being left by her person, not having enough attention and playtime. Having to be on a leash and being told what to do on walks. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Dora is an absolute delight with a spicy personality and her name is absolutely perfect for her explorer attitude. She is very playful and will nibble at your fingers when she gets a feeling board and wants attention. She barks a lot in reaction to what she can see and hear and is a wonderful alarm dog. She is very trainable and seems to get along well with other dogs and people. POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She is potty trained. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She is not currently being put in a crate but she seems to be comfortable sleeping in one from time to time without being told to do so. EXTRAS/MISC.: Dora is high energy and will try to tear things apart when she is bored. So a lot of redirection and potential crate training / bathroom training may be needed to prevent damage to rugs and other fabric items. No stray sock is safe with this little cutie. She hasn't been tested with cats, but with her alert nature and busy nature, a cat may not appreciate her presence. Older children are likely Ok, especially if they want to play. To further inquire about DORA, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how DORA will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for DORA, as well as her future family. *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, OR ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ ##2793053##

Story
Meet Liam and Lex! An adorable pair of 11-year old brothers searching for their forever home. These two are a bonded duo, so we're hoping to place them together, and trust us, they would also prefer that. Despite their age, they're playful, spunky, and absolutely adore each other. When they're not wrestling or exploring, they're happiest curled up in a lap or getting some tasty treats! They are crate trained and respectful in the home; no chewing or destructive habits. They are not fully potty trained, so they currently spend a significant amount of time outside and will need an adopter prepared to continue their progress. Liam and Lex would thrive in a home without small children and with someone who appreciates their bond, and can offer consistency and patience. To learn more about Liam and Lex, please reach out to our Placement Coordinator, Maggie, at 503-905-5200.

Story
Bridget 9 months, spayed female, 15 lbs Chug mix (Chihuahua/Pug) LIKES: Bridget loves to play with people of all ages, chew her toys, run and play with her dog friends, and give cuddles. She especially loves to hang out with the 12 year old girl in her foster home. DISLIKES: Bridget needs slower introductions to bigger energetic dogs, but quickly warms up. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Bridget is a very energetic, goofy, and snuggly puppy. She's up for adventure and meeting new people and would love to be in an active home and go on walks and explore with her people. POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Is puppy pad trained. Does well inside with few accidents. Consistent opportunities to go outside and rewards will help get this smart girl on the path to full house training. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Sleeps fine in her pen at night. Bridget is still a pup and needs additional training and socialization to become the best dog she can be. She is looking for a family that can continue to work with her and have patience. They will be rewarded by a snuggly devoted friend. To further inquire about BRIDGET, submit an application. Story
Bordeaux 1 year, spayed female, 7 lbs Chihuahua mix LIKES: Playing with the other dog in her foster home, cuddles and pets, bully sticks, being carried, and snuggling in fuzzy blankets. DISLIKES: Being left alone and encountering chickens PERSONALITY TRAITS: Playful, friendly, loyal, athletic. She;s a Velcro dog and would be a good "purse dog" to accompany her family wherever they want to take her. POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She doesn’t know how to use the dog door yet, and does well when she is taken out on a regular schedule. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She really doesn’t like being alone and cries a lot but eventually settles. EXTRAS/MISC.: She follows her foster humans everywhere and loves her person! She quickly bonded with her foster mom and gets worried when she’s not around. Great with young kids, cats (mostly) and the other small dog in her foster home and has done well with other dogs at adoption events. She would be a great first dog to someone who wants a constant companion or emotional support animal. Story
Meet Pixie Polly Pocket! Some puppies are ready to be your best friend the second they meet you. Pixie Polly Pocket is a little more thoughtful about it. She tends to sit back and observe when she's first getting to know someone, but give her a little time, patience, and a few treats, and you'll start to see her relax and let her happy personality shine! Watch Pixie Polly Pocket in action on YouTube, then come right back to read more! You'll see a playful little pup who loves being outside, spending time with her canine friends, and soaking up affection once she feels comfortable. At just 4 months old, Pixie is estimated to have been born around March 16, 2026, and weighs about 5.4 lbs. Her white-and-tan coat and tiny size make her pretty adorable, but it's her fun-loving personality that really makes her stand out. Pixie has been with her foster family since she was about 7 weeks old and has adjusted wonderfully to home life. She's a social puppy who loves playing with the other small dogs in her foster home. She's delightfully playful and can get quite talkative when she's romping around with her friends. She's also a big fan of toys and loves spending time outside. And if there's a pool involved? Even better! Pixie enjoys joining the other dogs for a little swimming fun. When playtime is over, Pixie has another side that is just as lovable. She's an affectionate little snugglebug who loves climbing into a lap and settling in close. Once she feels safe with you, she'll let you know with kisses and plenty of affection. Pixie does well with both men and women and is comfortable having some independence and can happily entertain herself. When visitors come over, she's more likely to hang back and observe rather than rush over to say hello. She's still a puppy, so there are a few things she's working on. Pixie is just beginning her leash-training journey and is still learning that the kennel is a comfortable place to relax. She's doing well with potty training, uses the doggy door to go outside on her own, and has only had occasional accidents. She also does great riding in the car! Pixie is a little reserved around bigger dogs, so thoughtful introductions will be important. With the smaller dogs she knows, though, she's playful, social, and very happy to have canine friends around! Pixie is still figuring out the world, and she doesn't need someone to rush her. She needs someone willing to give her a little time, offer some encouragement (and probably a few treats), and let her confidence grow at her own pace. In return, you'll get to watch a thoughtful little puppy transform into the happy, playful, affectionate girl she's already becoming! If you're looking for a tiny companion with a big playful personality, a love of the outdoors, and a serious appreciation for lap cuddles, Pixie Polly Pocket is ready to find her forever family!
