Story
Blu is a wonderfully unique, fully hairless little dog with a tender heart who bonds deeply to one person and feels significantly more comfortable with men, becoming anxious and avoidant around women. His early life in a hoarding/breeding situation left him with severe separation anxiety, fear‑based behaviors, and slow progress with potty training, so he needs someone who can be home nearly all the time and offer steady reassurance. When left alone, he panics, cries, tries to escape, and may hurt himself or become destructive, and even daycare environments overwhelm him. He also struggles emotionally around other dogs and shuts down easily, so he must be the only dog in a calm, stable home. Being hairless and having major dental issues, he requires frequent baths, protection from temperature changes, and soft foods he can eat comfortably. Blu’s ideal home is one with a single primary caregiver—preferably male—who is patient, gentle, and experienced with anxious or special‑needs dogs.
