Story
Meet Hugo, a sweet soul who's had a bit of a journey in finding his forever home. Sadly, his previous owner passed away, and now he's on the lookout for a new loving family. At first glance, Hugo may seem shy, but don't let that fool you—he warms up faster than you can say "treats!" This little guy doesn't mind being picked up by friendly strangers and is quick to make new friends. When it comes to canine companions, Hugo prefers pals who match his laid-back vibe. He's not a fan of big, hyper dogs and feels more comfortable with calm and gentle buddies. With a moderate energy level, Hugo loves outdoor adventures but transforms into a serene companion once indoors. He's a pro on the leash, though loud noises can startle him. He prefers peaceful walks over bustling streets. If he needs something, he has a polite bark that he stops promptly when he's heard. Plus, he's a champ in his crate—a safe haven for this charming pup. If you're seeking a calm, little buddy to share quiet moments and leisurely strolls, Hugo could be the perfect match for you. Reach out to us to meet this delightful companion! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xi20VsYVNmc&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jywc39feK5yrkpNaXB445v6&index=2

Story
Lola is a 4 year old powderpuff Chinese Crested/terrier mix. She is 15 pounds. She is loving and playful but lunges and barks and growls at some other dogs. I have had her for just over a month and she responds well to training with treats. She knows "sit" and "watch me" and walks well in the leash until she sees other dogs. Some dogs she is fine with. The problem is she does the same to kids and I live in a building with kids and an elevator so it is difficult to avoid kids. She is fine in the bath to wash her paws. She actually knows the routine and after the last walk she goes into the bathroom. Lola loves walks and belly rubs and the toys I bought her. She needs a foster pet parent who will continue the training, who doesn't live in a condo or apartment building and who doesn't have kids. Lola gets attached to a kind person very quickly and will follow you around, peak her head around the shower curtain to say hello , is learning to fetch and will cuddle on the couch with you.

Story
*This dog is fostered in Hamilton, ON* Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Little Milo was found as a stray with another small dog. He was never claimed and was welcomed into our rescue. Milo is a snuggley boy that just wants to loved. The quickest way to his heart is through his belly.. he loves treats - blueberries are his favourite. His favourite way to spend an evening is cuddled up on your lap watching TV. He also does great with the 2 cats in his foster home and is also fostered with a medium-sized dog, around 40lb. He follows his foster brother around a lot, but even though he is a tiny dude he will attempt to assert dominance over him, mostly in the form of humping. We are hopeful that this will subside after his neuter. Despite enjoying a (tolerant) doggie sibling in the home Milo is leash reactive on walks. He will bark, spin and lunge when he sees other dogs, so this will need further training. Although Milo is a tiny dog, he will need an owner who will NOT caudle him. He has displayed some mild fear reactivity which will only get worse if his new family doesn't provide him with the structure and guidance that he needs. With the right leadership, Milo will learn to be confident and become a very well-rounded member of the home. Milo will build a strong bond with his people and is sure to be a loving addition to the home!Name: MiloWeight: ~6lbAge: ~2 yearsGender: MaleBreed: ChihuahuaColour: BlackMedical: No concerns Fixed: Yes - April 09 Good with men: YesGood with women: YesGood with kids 0-11: No - he is an anxious little dude and can be reactive if scaredGood with kids 12+ Yes, as long as they are respectful that he can be fearful Good with dogs: Good with small dogs to medium dogs, shows some fear/anxiety with bigger dogs - we think that he may thrive as an only dog.
