Story
You don’t see many Chinese Crested dogs in rescue, so when a little guy like Kai and his two possible siblings, Winston and Tucker (all up for adoption) come our way, we know how popular they will be - suggestion: if you love this breed, don't hesitate to apply ASAP.These 3 were living in the backyard of a "breeder" in rural Tennessee who could not sell them so she turned them over to a rescue. They apparently have lived their entire life outside. Although these puppies were dumped by a crested breeder, we don't have AKC papers (of course) and cannot guarantee they are 100% purebred, but they are all adorable puppies.Thankfully, they are adjusting beautifully to the good life. They are currently living with other dogs in their foster home and doing well. These pups haven't been child-tested, so we’re looking for a home where any children are gentle and understand these are small dogs, not toys.Kai is very active. REALLY long legs-runs like a mini Greyhound. Almost never walks, just runs everywhere. Big personality. Loves to play chase with Tucker. and is jumpy on his older larger foster siblings. Great appetite- Is gradually warming up but still does not like to be held for long; wants to get down and run!Like all puppies, his new family should be ready for the fun—and work—that comes with raising a young dog. They'll need continued house training, crate training, leash work, basic manners, socialization, and plenty of patience as they grow into the great little dog we know he can be.If you’ve always wanted a Chinese Crested, you may be in luck. All known information about the animal is listed above.
