CUDDLY LAP DOG DOB 7/1/23, weight 11 lb. Hey there, everyone! I’m Kathy, a sweet, friendly, and affectionate fawn and white Chihuahua mix gal who absolutely loves when Foster Mom pets me. It’s understandable that I need all the reassurance of love that she gives me because my former owners abandoned me and my friend Kate in the backyard when they moved out. Once I arrived at my foster home, it didn’t take long for my heart to heal, and now I’m all wiggles and wags. Sometimes I can be a bit jealous of other dogs, but generally I get along well with the small dogs in my foster home, and I hit it off great with the resident cats and well as the grandkids when they come to visit. I do best with lots of close family contact. Wouldn’t you know that cuddling in Foster Mom’s lap is my favorite spot and where I require plenty of quality time? My size makes me an ideal apartment dog, but I relish my daily exercise. Nothing makes me happier than for Foster Mom to invest her time and energy into treating me like a big dog. I make it easy for her because I already walk well on a leash. Plus I’m kennel-trained. Unfortunately, one of the consequences of having irresponsible owners the first time around is that I tested a light positive for heartworms. I’m currently undergoing the Moxi-Doxy treatment protocol, which HOPE will pay for until it is completed. Given my young age and good general health, I’m expected to make a complete recovery.
