Story
Meet Griff — a gentle, lap-loving little shadow who just wants someone to call his own. When Griff’s elderly owner passed away unexpectedly, his whole world shifted overnight. One moment he was loved and adored; the next, he was facing uncertainty with no one familiar to turn to. Thanks to a compassionate Good Samaritan, Griff never saw the inside of a shelter. Instead, he was brought into a foster home where he’s been slowly unwinding, taking deep breaths, and learning that he’s still safe. Griff is 6 years old, neutered, microchipped, fully vetted, and heartworm negative. He even recently met a cat and didn’t react at all—such a good little gentleman.  At heart, Griff is a loyal shadow dog. He adores routines, finds comfort in his crate, and loves nothing more than curling up in your lap or settling beside you where he can feel your warmth. He’s sensitive, steady, and thrives in a calm, predictable environment where he can truly relax. Griff is hoping for a quiet, peaceful home—one without children and ideally with another gentle, small dog who won’t overwhelm him. His Chihuahua quirks only add to his charm, and once he trusts you, he loves you with his whole heart.  This sweet boy is ready to bond deeply, settle in fully, and finally feel safe again. This special little one year old chihuahua is called Magic Maude.  And especially sensitive little girl, that somehow got just a little too round and is on a dedicated exercise in nutrition program to drop some weight.  Currently, she is eighteen pounds and we field that she would be best to be in the ten to twelve pound range as a goal.  She originally was in a chaotic home that animal control had to step in and take away 112 chihuahuas that we're living in the home.  An unfathomable amount of dogs that were not altered, but yet healthy.  When mod came to our rescue and was put in a foster home. She lay there in her crate for days very depressed and emotionally unresponsive.  She barely moved from the one spot she lay in.   Eventually, after almost two weeks, she perked up with the company of few other chihuahuas coming to join her in her large crate.  Soon she was going on walks with the foster. Mom and seemed to enjoy the freedom of being outside, taking in all the new sights and sounds of the neighborhood.  We know she had never been leash walked due to the overcrowding at her original home.  This girl is spayed and healthy and ready to start all over again. She wants love and we promised her a great family who will love her and take her for walks and treat her like the Magic Maude that she is.  She is currently in Nashville, Tennessee, and can be transported to the northeast region as well.
