Story
Josie is a beautiful, smart and affectionate dog. She is not a barker. She can be left at home safely (as long as there is no food on the counter!) She loves playing fetch, cuddling, hiking and eating. She is not scared of fireworks or thunder, for some reason. We've had her in group as well as one-on-one training. She listens well, does not dash out the door, and is good on leash. The only reason we have to re-home her is because she's been consistently aggressive toward our daughter, who is now crawling at 8 months old. Josie has been aggressive and nervous toward other kids that have come to visit our home and we don't want to risk any bites. She's never had a bite incident, or been in a fight with another dog. Josie has shown aggression to other dogs, but only when they've come in our home. She has a lot of experience at various doggie daycares, boarding, dog parks, meeting other dogs on leash, etc and is fine in these situations. We hope she can find loving new home.

Story
COURTESY POST ONLY - SIMON IS NOT A TCWN DOG - PLEASE CONTACT NUMBER BELOW   Simon is a stunning, affectionate, 2–3-year-old tripod with a heart as big as his giant squishy paws. Likely an Akita or Husky mix, he has the softest fur, the sweetest face, and the most soulful eyes you’ll ever meet. He’s neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, and ready to be someone’s loyal companion for life. Simon had a rough start—confiscated due to neglect, he survived being hit by a car, and due to lack of follow-up vet care, he had a leg amputated. But Simon is a survivor. He moves with confidence, explores with curiosity, and loves with his whole heart. He’s currently thriving and takes a daily joint supplement to keep him strong. He even had an assessment by a canine mobility specialist, and got an A+. He adores people and other dogs and does beautifully in dog parks and group settings. He’s a world-class cuddler, a plush toy enthusiast (especially his beloved blue hedgehog), and would love nothing more than to sleep right beside you at night. He’s crate trained, potty trained, and highly food motivated—which makes him both a snack bandit (keep your counters clear!) and an enthusiastic learner. Simon will come with everything he needs and loves: his toys, raised food bowls, leash, collar, and supplements including the above-mentioned joint chew. All he’s missing is a safe, loving forever home. Important: Simon has a strong prey drive. He cannot go to a home with cats, livestock, or other small animals. Despite training, his instinctual drive has proven too big a risk around prey animals. For this reason, he’s looking for a home that can give him what he deserves without the constant temptation—ideally a dog-loving household with a securely fenced yard, no prey animals, and plenty of love to give. He’d do great as your one and only, but he also loves to have siblings. Simon is truly an incredible dog. Handsome, smart, resilient, and full of love. He’s been deeply cherished in his current home, and the decision to rehome him has been painful—but necessary to keep everyone safe. He deserves a life filled with stability, companionship, and joy. If you think you’re the right match for this special boy, let’s talk. Simon is ready to meet his forever person(s). Story
Carob is a shy and gentle girl who is dreaming of her furever home! Carob has known her share of heartbreak, as she came into the shelter after her owner passed away. A buddy she came in with has since been adopted, and she is hoping that she`ll be able to get outta this joint ASAP! Shelter staff and volunteers are so proud of her; the shelter is a pretty scary place and Carob is trying her very best to be brave!“Carob was shy when I met her in her kennel, but easy to leash up and she walked great, right by my side. We went a yard and she walked around, exploring, allowing brief touch as she walked by me. We had an easy to return to kennel where she leaned into me.”“I walked Carob Friday evening. Carob walked gently on leash and she loved sniffing and exploring. We sat on a beach by the lake and Carob allowed pets on her shoulder and back. She was more relaxed after her walk and cuddle time.”“I met Carob for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We made our way to a play yard, where she went potty and explored. Her kennelmate was pretty scared and she was such a sweet comforter to them. After about 15 minutes together she allowed me to pet her chin and scratch between her ears. This was her FAVORITE as she leaned into me as I scratched her head between her two big ‘ol ears!” We are so proud of Carob, as she has shown that despite hardship, she is resilient and ready to love! She’ll thrive in a home with a family who will give her time to warm up and feel safe. Once she knows that she’s “home,” she’ll show the sweetness and love that we have seen glimpses of in the shelter. If you believe in second chances, Carob is the girl for you!Carob shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup.
