Story
“Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeeeene…” Meet the real-life Jolene! This five-year-old sweetheart will steal your heart faster than the song. She is a wonderful girl full of love, snuggles, and a playful puppy energy. She’s affectionate, happy to follow you everywhere, and oozes warmth in every glance from her soulful brown eyes. She’s loves toys and her foster brother, loving to chase him around the backyard. She`s done great with other dogs and seems to really thrive with a companion. Jolene shines on walks, hikes, car rides, or just chilling at your side for some belly rubs. Medium-energy and house-trained (she`s been perfect left alone at home for 8+ hours!), she’s ready for a home that can match her playful vibe and work with some training. Trust us, one cuddle and you’ll be singing her praises too!

Story
Butternut is a cautious young gal looking for a home with a family who will give her time and space to settle in. She spent about a month and a half in one foster home and two months in another- here’s what we learned:- She’s a quiet houseguest but will bark her happiness in anticipation of dinner - She did well with other resident dogs - She did well with a cat after a proper introduction - She is non- destructive and well- behaved when left home alone- She is house trained and walks well on leash - She likes to catch treats in the air, enjoys snuffle mats and is curious and playful“The way Butternut interacts with people is so sweet. It is clear is nervous, but she wants so badly to be close. This is demonstrated by the way she very politely and gently will eat treats out of your hand. She has the softest little chomp! She also is a pro at catching treats thrown in the air which is very cute.”Here’s what some of Butternut’s volunteer advocates said:“I worked with Butternut this morning. She has made clear progress. Walks well but a little slowly. She was willing to approach for treats held in my fingers and with some work I was able to establish touch and get some scratches in. Good walk back and easy unleash.”“Butternut is definitely more confident after her foster break. She’s easier to leash, more comfortable with touch. I was cuddling with her super affectionate kennelmate and Butternut came over for some affection too. I petted her head, ears, and her body for a bit. She’s such a sweet girl.”Butternut has shared her kennel and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She may benefit from having a confident furry friend to help her adjust in her future home. Please ask about Butternut today!

Story
Meet Jasmine (A850675)! Brought to PACC as a stray, she didn’t thrive in the shelter environment, but she’s happy and gaining confidence in a foster home. Jasmine loves other dogs, walks, getting belly rubs, snoozing in the sun, and trying to get her new dog friend Molly to zoom with her. Jasmine is playful, affectionate, gentle, silly, easy-going, and well-behaved. She greets every day with a waggy tail and eagerness to spend time and play with people and dogs.Jasmine is fully housebroken, has excellent house manners, and is generally relaxed indoors unless it’s time to screen mail deliveries! She is a bit hesitant around cars and new people, is leery of being corralled, and needs to be homed with people who respect her initial boundaries. She also gets anxious when people leave the house, although she is not destructive. She is working on some basic commands and leash manners. If interested in learning more and meeting Jasmine (and who wouldn`t be?), please email pacc.adoptafoster@pima.gov.
