Hi, I’m Athena! I’m a very sweet, gentle girl who just needs a little extra time to feel safe and discover that the world isn’t quite as big and scary as it seems. I’m happiest when I can take things slowly, follow a predictable routine, and have a confident doggie friend by my side to show me that walks, new adventures, and people can actually be pretty wonderful! Once I’m comfortable, my curious, playful, affectionate side starts to peek out, and I really do have so much love to give. I’m looking for a quiet, patient home (16+ please!) where I can settle in at my own pace, and if you have a social, confident pup who wouldn’t mind being my brave little role model, I’d love to meet you.

Appa is a 60 lb Akita mix with a gentle, affectionate soul. She's mid-to-low energy, happiest with two 20–30 minute walks a day, some yard time, and plenty of sunny spots to nap in.Appa is great with kids and cats, and does best as the only dog in the home, though she's gotten along with some calm, low-energy large dogs. She's not a fan of other dogs on walks and needs her space when approached, so a home without a resident dog (or with a very mellow one) suits her best.She adores head scratches, pulls a little on leash but redirects easily with a harness, and loves a good sunbeam to nap in. Appa also has some separation anxiety, so she needs a patient adopter who can help her ease into a new home and avoid leaving her alone the first few weeks.I'm rehoming Appa due to upcoming surgery and want to find her the right fit ASAP. If you can give this sweet girl a calm, loving home, please reach out!

Shylo was an owner surrender as a 7 mo old puppy. He has some trust issues with humans. It took the foster some time but Shylo Now loves attention. Him and Mama have been with the same foster since January and helped each other learn to trust. He still needs some house training.
