Story
Meet Our Shepherd/Akita Girls! These beautiful 14-week-old female German Shepherd/Akita mix puppies are ready to find their forever families! Strong, smart, and stunning, these girls are going to be big dogs, so they’re looking for adopters prepared for large-breed companions who will grow alongside them.Currently thriving in foster homes, the girls are learning all about home life. They are working hard on potty training and gaining valuable social skills by living with other dogs, children, and in some cases cats. Their foster families are helping them build a great foundation, but continued training and socialization will be important as they grow.Because they are still puppies, adopters should expect to bring them back to the shelter multiple times to complete their vaccination series and for spay surgery. Each puppy will go home on a spay contract, which will be honored by the time she reaches 6 months of age. Adoption fee: $600.00If you’re interested in applying, please email adoption@columbiahumane.org. Once an approved application is on file, the foster family will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet with the puppy. If you’re ready for a loyal, intelligent, large-breed companion, one of these girls may be the perfect addition to your family!
