Little Chili is a 7-pound Chiweenie boy that is 5 to 6 years old. He has a big heart and an adorable personality. When he first came to us, he had quite a bit of missing hair, but he’s healing beautifully—his feet are fully fuzzy again, and the hair on his ears and nose is growing back nicely. Chili is a sweet, shy little guy who blossoms with patience and kindness. He absolutely loves other dogs and would do best in a home with a confident canine buddy to help show him the ropes and continue building his confidence. This handsome boy has already learned to walk on a leash, is crate trained, and has been wonderful with house breaking. Chili also enjoys the simple things in life—especially stretching out in a sunny spot for a good nap. If you’re looking for a gentle little companion who just needs love and encouragement to shine, Little Chili may be your perfect match.

Hi, My name is Hoagie. I was found wandering alone and was placed in a rescue after no one came forward to claim me. I am a very gentle soul who loves being around children and other dogs. While I do bark at cats, I am working on this behavior and am never aggressive toward them. I walk well on a leash and am fully housebroken. I would make a wonderful companion for the right family. He’s got the head and body of a black Lab… perched proudly atop the short, sturdy legs of what can only be described as a basset hound–dachshund collaboration. The result? One perfectly unique pup who turns heads wherever he goes. Tipping the scales at 52 pounds, Stubbie is all Lab on top and all “surprise!” on the bottom. He gets along famously with dogs, cats, and pretty much anyone willing to admire his excellent proportions. He did have a home for a while, but through no fault of his own, he was surrendered when his people realized they didn’t have enough time for such a big personality. The silver lining? Stubbie comes fully equipped with house manners, leash skills, and is already housebroken — no assembly required. Come meet this one-of-a-kind, little(ish) black dog with a giant heart and an even bigger personality, and let Stubbie show you exactly why “perfectly unique” is his best feature. Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org.
