Story
Frankie is a 7–8-year-old dachshund mix who would love a soft bed, a kind voice, and a person to stay close to. She’s gentle, affectionate, generous with kisses, and very willing to work for a treat! 🐶
Five years ago, Frankie and her best friend Dixie were adopted together. Now their owner’s health has made it impossible to continue caring for them, so both girls are coming back into rescue through no fault of their own. They’ve spent those five years together, and we’re hoping to find a foster or forever home where they can stay side by side. ❤️
Frankie is housebroken, leash trained, and knows basic commands. She’s also treat motivated, which makes practicing what she knows—and learning something new—more fun for everyone. She has done well with children, cats, and other dogs. Dixie, the smaller of the two, can be a little reserved when meeting new dogs but warms up quickly.
Raised voices can make the girls skittish, so they would appreciate a calm home and a little patience while they settle in. Once they feel safe, expect wagging tails and plenty of kisses! 🥰
Frankie is spayed and vaccinated, and will be microchipped. She may be getting close to her senior years, but she and Dixie still have so much love to share.
