Story
Wanda has already endured more loss than any dog should. She was found lying in a field beside her deceased companion—a beautiful white Husky—and she refused to leave his side. Even in the face of that heartbreak, Wanda remained gentle, quiet, and trusting toward the people who came to help her. When Wanda entered care, she was evaluated by a veterinarian due to an occasional limp. Her leg pain appears to be related to an older knee injury with a small amount of arthritis, which can flare up in cold weather. Most of the time, Wanda is comfortable and mobile and does not let it slow her down. Wanda is currently with her foster but she needs a stable adoptive home where she can finally decompress and feel secure. About Wanda: Approximate age: 4 years Female Possible Kelpie / Shepherd / Husky mix Housebroken Good with dogs, cats, and children Shy at first, but loyal and affectionate once she feels safe Wanda is a sensitive soul who bonds deeply with people when given patience and consistency. What she needs most now is a calm home and someone willing to give her the time and reassurance she has been missing.
