Meet Petey! This sweet sad faced boy is Petey and he is bound to win over your heart with his loving nature. Petey is only about 20-25 lbs. He is about 7 months old so he will not get much bigger. Petey's parents resemble chiweenie mixes. He is great with other dogs and would love a home to learn how to be a family dog, and have another dog to learn from. He can be quite shy, but gets comfortable in a day or so. He is new to foster care so he is learning all the new things like potty training and crate training, but he's doing great and already knows the dog door! He is a very mellow boy, we joke that he is an old man at heart and loves to hang out with his people once he is comfortable, but also romps around with other dogs for play time. If Petey's soft eyes stole your heart please apply below! Neuter, microchip, and current vaccines are all included in his adoption fee. Once he knows someone, all he wants to do is snuggle and play, and his favorite place to sit is right up on your shoulders.Kai is:• Neutered and microchipped• High energy and loves to play tug-a-war• Looking for a home without children or other dogs• A pup who loves snuggling and being carried• Happiest when his favorite Lambchop toy is nearbyHe can take a while to get used to new people and animals, so he needs an experienced owner who can provide a calm environment and help him with his training. He has shown an aggressive sounding bark and nipping when he is stressed, but these behaviors may decrease with a more experienced handler. He acts out a bit when left alone for too long, but he has been crate trained in the past and could be again. Just a heads-up: no salmon in his food or treats, as it makes him puke.
