Story
Meet Pip, the truest little love bug with the biggest heart. With her velvety black coat, soft white “feathers” on her chest, and adorable white bobby socks on her paws (which she happily offers up for massages), Pip looks like a tiny baby bear cub, and her perfectly pointed ears add to her charm. She brings the best of both worlds: she’s playful and social, then seamlessly melts into cuddle mode. She loves initiating games with her foster canine brother and friends, then settles into being the ultimate lap companion. Pip doesn’t just love, she commits with her whole heart. Once she bonds with you, she’s all in. Wherever you go, she wants to follow.Food is one of Pip’s greatest joys, and she’s a certified canine foodie which makes training a breeze. She finds comfort in her crate and puts herself to bed each night, though the door remains open since she is respectful of her environment. In the morning, she sweetly joins the rest of the pack in bed for bonus cuddles. She loves walks and outdoor adventures, keeping an eye on squirrels and birds. Pip barks appropriately and may be a little intimidated by bigger dogs, and “yells` at them when out on a walk.Around 1 year old, Pip will thrive with other small to medium size dogs in the home, and if you work from home, that is an extra plus! She appears to like mature children, and remained calm and unfazed to her groomer’s cats when she went for her mani/pedi recently. Pip is affectionate, joyful, loyal, and full of personality. She’s the kind of dog who turns everyday life into something brighter, whether its quiet moments curled up beside you, fun adventures, or evening walks. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will give you her whole heart, Pip is your gal.Interested in adopting this dog? Visit our website (http://www.SecondCityCanineRescue.org) to fill out an application and to find out where this dog may be shown this weekend. We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog. Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess. Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Qu
