Story
Meet Nessa! Nessa is a petite, one-year-old Chiweenie mix with a big personality packed into a small 10 pound frame. This resilient little lady came to rescue after being hit by a car and suffering three pelvic fractures, including one that required surgery, but don’t worry, she’s now fully healed, feeling great, and ready to start her next chapter! Nessa is the definition of a “my person” dog. She bonds deeply with her human and is happiest when she can spend her energy with you, not other dogs. She’s playful, high-energy, and fun, but her idea of playtime are walks, adventures, and quality time with her favorite person, not romping with dog friends. Like many small dogs, Nessa is confident, opinionated, and likes to make her rules very clear. She does okay around other dogs who are calm, respectful, and willing to completely ignore her existence. Dogs with puppy energy or dogs that don’t listen when she says “no thanks” are not her jam. Because of this, Nessa would truly shine as an only dog but could live with the right low key canine companion. Nessa can be a little protective of her person, especially when she’s snuggled in a lap, and she’ll need an adopter who understands this and is comfortable continuing gentle, consistent guidance. She does well with cats around the house, as long as they give her space (lap time is sacred, after all!). Nessa is potty trained, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash and is all around a loyal, affectionate and devoted canine companion to her human. Nessa is best suited for an adult home (no small children as she can be a little snappy if her boundaries aren’t respected), as well as a home with calm, respectful pets, where she can be someone’s cherished sidekick, not part of a doggy playgroup. If you’re looking for a tiny protector, loyal companion, and adventure buddy who will love you with her whole heart, Nessa might just be your perfect match. Ready to meet your shadow? Zoy is16 years old.  This girl came to us from an elderly couple that could no longer care for her.  She is housetrained with a dog door.  She takes two heart meds twice a dsy. She is slow to warm up to new people but is very fun and loving of you give her time.  she does ok with dogs and cats but grumpy with them and prefers her own space.  All available dogs are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and given a broad spectrum dewormer . If you decide to apply for this or another animal, you can complete the application online here https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/570/generic We require that all dogs in the home be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention. Story
Tiny little chupacabra. Lolly is a sweet 10 yr old Chihuahua, but she looks a little like she's the mythical chupacabra! She's an easy little lap dog who likes to sit on your lap while watching TV. She is Housebroken, and great with other dogs. Although she does have allergies, and requires medication, she is a happy and healthy little girl. She have done allergy testing on her, and know what she needs to avoid. Lolly would do best in a relaxed home with someone who is retired or works from home. She wouldn't be happy away from her people for long periods. She will require a securely fenced yard, so an apartment wouldn't work well for her, and children aren't her favorite, so no kids under 12 for this little one please.  All available dogs are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and given a broad spectrum dewormer . We require all pets already in the home are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
